DigiTech Whammy DT - Effect for Guitars

Even if you don't use The Whammy DT on stage, this pedal is great fun to have, if only to use it at home. If working out favourite tracks that may be in lower or higher tunings, it saves time retuning your guitar as all you need do is select tuning level on the pedal. The harmony side of the pedal is great just like the previous versions using the Expression Pedal to change Harmomy intervals. With the Whammy DT both sides of the pedal can work simultaniously, with is a great bonus. One of my fav's is Shallow Chorus on the Whammy side and Octave Up on the Drop Tune side which gives one of the best 12 String Guitar effects on any pedal I have used. Also there is a momentary switch, which momentarily turns the Drop Tune effect on or off to create hammer-on or pull-off style shifting effects. The Dive Bomb feature is brill. See Jimmy Page use it (older version) on the new Led Zeppelin DVD, 'Celebration Day' on the track - Nobody's Fault But Mine, he also uses the Whammy on 'Trampled Underfoot', but the new pedal is capable of so much more. Switchable True Bypass and DSP Bypass Modes and Midi compatable. Any guitarist who has had a previous version Whammy should definately take a look at this new Whammy DT. Works well with clean and distorted guitar. Tracking is not totally 100 per cent at times but hardly matters too much in the scheme of things. I am a pro guitarist and will find space soon on my pedalboard. Great Fun!!!

This pedal does a lot and it works as an octave pedal. It has a chorus effect that sounds nice. The drop tune feature is easy to use and saves having to change guitars to play one song in drop tune. The pitch shifting is fun and easy to use. This is a great item and it comes with 3 different power supply adapters so I could plug it in and play it as I live in Australia. The other adapter was British but I'm not sure what the third one was for but I hope this Info helps.

This is an excellent effects pedal. The drop tune feature is brilliant, best thing I’ve bought for my guitar in a very long time.

Behaves exactly as I expected, but better. It's an incredibly flexible device and, being polyphonic really adds to the sonic mayhem you can create. I have a polyphonic pitch shifter built into my old Boss GT-5 but the quality of the Whammy DT is far better, as you'd expect, being a much newer processor. Digital artefacts are thankfully not too bad and latency is very, very low. Built like a tank - and almost as heavy - it's rugged enough to stand up to gig after gig. If I have one small gripe it's that the wet/dry mix is pre-set but it's a small drawback and not a major headache.

It’s a decent and iconic pedal, the detune works and tracks really well but isn’t great for practicing as you can hear the standard tuning of the actual guitar whilst hearing the digital tuning at the same time which gets very annoying, particularly for clean tones. Better for gigging but not practicing when using detune. The Whammy part itself works very well and tracks nicely. Only buy it if you desperately need it. Definitely try it first too in a shop before buying to see if you like it. There’s the Whammy V which only utilises the whammy side which I recommend. Looks and feels great, nice weight and the pedal itself moves well. Also it only takes a power supply so no batteries :-( Overall - 7.85 /10

This is an amazing peice of kit! Will never need to swap guitars for different tuning again! Tracks very well with minimal fluttering. Only cons are its a bit big and i have to use its own power supply, plugged into my board it draws too much juice and creates a high pitch buzz

Firstly, it was really fast delivery on this product which was great, as for the whammy DT itself, all i can say is i love it, i was thinking of using a second or even third guitar to overcome all the different tunings (ie drop tune) in my band but this has saved so much hassle, sounds great and does the job perfectly, i will definitely be recommending it.

I bought this in 2017 and it saved me, no more physical down tuning, bought it again this year in case the other one needs servicing or whatever the reason may occur, a game changer for every professional guitar player 👍🏼❤️

Audioslave ve Rage Against the Machine sevenler için ideal bir pedal. Tank gibi sağlam. Tom Morello olmak istiyorsanız buyrun :) - Whammy olarak (+- oktav değişimi yaparak) kullanabiliyorsunuz - Yine harmony için de kullanabiliyorsunuz - Tüm teller için drop tune yapabiliyorsunuz (momentary/bastığınızda aktifleşecek şekilde de kullanabiliyorsunuz) Tek pedalda birçok özelliği eklemişler. Başta Ricochet mi alayım dedim ama bu özellikleri görünce bunu aldım ve çok mutluyum. Biraz büyük tabi, pedalboardda yer açmanız gerekecektir.

la funzione dt è una cosa fantastica: vuoi suonare gli slipknot? metti in drop d la chitarra e abbassi di 5 semitoni per andare in drop a oppure 3 per drop b. vuoi suonare i system of a down? giù di 2 e sei in drop c. ti si è rotto il capotasto? sù di 3 e la chitarra è in sol. la sezione whammy è ovviamente mitica per fare cose matte alla tom morello, lead su basi elettroniche alla chemical brothers... la parte harmonizer è fantastica sul basso... non hai il basso?! metti il dt giù di un’ottava e vai di harmonizer sopra!!! ti piace il chorus come effetto ma non lo vuoi sempre presente? metti in detune e hai un chorus dosabile a picere con un pedale di espressione. che dire? per 190 euro ho preso un chorus, octaver, pitch shifter, harmonizer con pedale di espressione incorporato e con la possibilità di footswitch o controllo via midi in! MIGLIORE AQUISTO DI SEMPRE
