If i short the cable for button and connect it to main will it ring constantly? i wan to connect it to a motion sensor which turn main on/off .tnx

yes it will ring constant. if you connect mains to the wall mount bell and then to sensor it will work. i did that with a friend and hes happy, but one problem if cat walks across then it will ring again.

Question 2

Does anyone know if I could wire this up from the lighting circuit?

The in-built transformer requires 220/240v input using 2-core mains cable. No earth is required. The unit consumes less than 0.1A and can safely be connected to the lighting circuit, providing it is fitted with a double pole isolating switch. If in doubt, please contact a suitably qualified electrician.

Can i connect a wireless bell push to this?

Ad says that full instructions are included with the unit. Basically 2 of the terminals will be for 240v mains supply  This. could be a cable from a 13amp socket and it’s unlikely that the earth (green and yellow) will be used. Be careful to connect the mains supply to the correct terminals on the transformer inside the Byron casing. THIS IS VITAL. The other 8 volt terminals should be connected to your door push button. If you’re not confident in wiring correctly from the instructions, best seek advice from an electrician. Bear in mind that your Byron doorbell requires to be sited where. You have access to a mains supply. If you’re only using this as a simple doorbell, it’s much easier to instal the battery version of this Byron bell without the need for a mains supply. The wiring is straightforward and unless you have a constant stream of visitors, the batteries will last for around a  year. 😉

Question 4

Does this work with Eufy video doorbell (battery powered) that needs 8-24V power source.
