I ordered these to replace some old cheaper speakers that I had fitted only as a temporary measure. These come up a little larger than my old 8" units so I did have to saw the hole in my ceiling a bit more but a template is supplied with these to make that job easier. Once fitted I tested them and the quality of sound is nothing short of terrific, I really wasn't expecting this sound to come from a sub £100 pair of ceiling speakers. I have a crossover set on my AVR at 80hz so I can't say to much for the base below that level however every frequency down to the 80hz is true and clear, the midrange is especially good, I am now hearing tones that were hidden from me on my old speakers. I have set these as my rear surround speakers on my Dolby Atmos 7.1 setup but after hearing these on the rear I am going to be purchasing another 2 sets for the Atmos height speakers again replacing some older cheaper speakers that I fitted some time ago. After testing that everything worked well and that I intended to keep these, I then sprayed the frets black just to match with my others, I think that they look good in black, contrasting against the white of the rim and the tweeter. Very good speakers and great value.

I got this as it was a good price with good reviews and so far it works as expected. I got what I paid for but it is a bit of an eyesore and it’s 27cm in diameter with a cut-out hole of 23.7cm so much bigger than the ad led me to believe. However there’s some poor advice on other reviews on removing the grill: To remove the grill, there’s a small metal hook that comes with the product. All you need to do is hook through a small hole in the grill and pull it off the casing. If you don’t have the hook, or you lose it, just bend a paper clip. Nothing complicated about it so ignore the convoluted advice. The only other issue I have is that if/when I want to replace it, the cut-out diameter is not a common size and I am finding it hard to find other speakers that would fit the same hole. I wish I got a smaller speaker with, say, a 200mm diameter cut-out hole which would give me more replacement opportunities.

The larger driver Pyle sounds really good but for sub £50 a pair I don’t think you can go wrong, I paired these up with Tibo smart amps around the house and have an amazing sound multi room audio system which people think cost a fortune for pennies in the pound. Very happy with these

Very happy with these great value for money. I have used these in my cinema room in my garage with a projector and a pioneer amp. What wasn’t clear to me was there is two in each box which I was very happy about because I thought it was only one. It’s not very clear how to get the grills of but there is a little pin in each box see picture they can be put in without having to do anything from above the ceiling you can cut the holes out with the template provided I used a plaster board saw then you can use some pipe or anything long and slim to feed the cables from the holes to the amp I used Amazon basics speaker cable. There isn’t much bass but as I am not using for dance music it doesn’t bother plus it’s doesnt upset the neighbours to much because the garage isn’t very well insulated great for movie nights highly recommended.

Bought two sets, one was ok, the other had a missing grill on speaker. Only just found out as man cave is now finished but very disapointed as looks rubbish.

Fairly well built; not sure of the quality of resistor's used, etc. but you can never be sure of that until they fail! ... Could have done with adding a rear cover to the speaker. The sound quality is acceptable for the price paid... not fantastic but better then these are pretty much budget priced. I use these as alternative to a main set up when just casual listening is required (radio).
