Fluke T5-1000 Voltage Continuity Tester, H5 Carrying Case & 1AC Voltage Indicator Kit

A very nice product package. For years I have used various cheaper multimeters for electrical circuit testing on the home electrics front, & have always felt that the supplied probes were a bit on the flimsy side. After the failure of yet another probe, I decided to more than double my spending on something more robust, so invested in the Fluke T5, after reading other reviews. I wish that I had done so years ago, as this is a much more robust product than the less-than-£50 range of meters, in all respects. Far more user-friendly as well, with no pre-selection of current or voltage ranges etc. The package came with a handy holster, and also a very neat 1AC-A1-II voltage detector, which does not require electrical contact in order to indicate voltage presence. Just hold it close to a live terminal & it will glow. The only thing that I cannot comment on with certainty is the life-expectancy of the Fluke probes, as only time will tell - but they look & feel a whole lot more substantial than any that I have owned in the past, & they are permanently wired in. A can well recommend this kit.

Excellent bit of kit. Use it daily and drop it weekly and it still works perfect after 14 months or so. Never even had to change the batteries either yet.I personally think any spark should not even think about getting a different VI. I occasionally check it's accuracy and am always impressed by the results.Only little gripe is it would be nice if it went down to 0.1 resolution for measuring resistance. But that would prob bump the price up a good whack.Buy one now!!

You can't beat Fluke for quality in electrical testing equipment and the T5-1000 is no exception. This metere has everyting any electrician, plumber or refrigeration engineer might need and has auto-ranging so there are just the minimum of selection choices to make. As rugged as Fluke products are, it is handy that this meter comes with a compact carrying case. The attached voltage tester is an essential for any trades-person and comes in handy constantly.

The media could not be loaded. Take a look at my video review, this is a very good meter. I have used Fluke testers for many years and they are good quality and last forever.

Excellent bit of kit, arrived on time in good condition and with all the bits.best deal I could find on the net at the time, satisfied overall, will wait to see how long they last.

Fantastic and reliable tester, I have had one of these over 10 years that still works fine so I purchased another for my other set of tools. At the end of the day Fluke items are not cheap but are well made, reliable and last but will say this could be a little better if the gap in the clamp jaws was a little wider apart and if it did more than 100A.

Very easy to use and a good upgrade from multi meter.One of the probes can be clamped in the unit so that it is easy to use with two hands - unlike eg voltage testing with multi meter where you have to find somewhere to set meter while you hold a probe in each hand.Current reading is also easier than multi meter; just put wire in between the two jaws at the top.

Great product.Used fluke testers for years, more expensive than some but a sturdy no nonsense tester that complies to electrical safe system of works.
