Does Dye Nylon
I tried Dylon Washing Machine Dye a couple times on various temperatures with no luck dying a nike nylon running top. I wanted to change it from dark blue to black. I had almost giving up before trying this - I left it in a pot of simmering (70-80'c) water for about an hour with this stuff in and the nylon didn't melt or anything and when I washed it out in the machine and dried it (don't tumble dry nylon, air dry) it actually worked. It wasn't a deep black, but more a slate black because of nylon shimmer. But, it worked and therefore will work on pretty much any lesser fabric - wool, cotton, maybe even synthetics like running tights, waterproof jacket etc. Though beware boiling synthetic clothes might reduce any waterproofing they have in them. Good luck.

Quality of dyed items
Only dyed 3 lightweight items. 2 were fine but 3rd only light grey. They were all same product and dyed together so not sure why this happened.

Given my old underwear the kiss of life after lockdown 😂
If you ignore the slightly dirty sounding review title , I genuienly want to express how over the moon I am with this dye.I accidently put my light washing in with a red dog blanket turning it all a horrible blotchy pink and to no avail I had to bite the bullet and buy some pink dye to rescue what clothes I had ruined. After lockdown a lot of my whites and light colours were looking dull , nothing wrong with the actual fabric but the colours were gone so I decided to shove most of my underwear drawer in there too.The dye itself I prefer over Dylon as it seems to have a lot better coverage and pigment . It was easy enough to use , I wet the clothes and shoved them in a bin full of steaming water and stirred every now and then .Love the stuff , if your underwear needs the kiss of life , try it! .... maybe just not in such a garish pink !
