Q: Will this work for my printer and scanner

I have mine working a office desk top primer / scanner, a mouse and a tracking mat for photo editing

The power from USB is not enough when split into 4 (Eg: Portable Hard Disk), hence you can plug in a dc adapter to supply additional boost. but for mouse keyboard etc you shouldn't need it in most cases

Should be no probs, I Power 2phones and assuming you do not exceed your car’s 12 volt output then all 4 ports should work

Yes, I use mine on top of my desk from the mains using annextender to charge my mouse keyboard and headset
