Great solution for seatposts with odd profiles that do not fit the Garmin prvided inserts
Up until buying this mount, I had just been using the mounts/inserts/o-rings included in the box to mount my Garmin Varia RTL515 Radar/Light to the seatpost of my bikes. But a wee problem arose when I bought a sweet 2017 Wilier Triestina Cento10 aero road bike. This bike uses a seatpost with a D shaped profile ... rounded in the front and perfectly flat in the back. None of the rubberized inserts included in the box with the Garmin fit this type of flat seatpost profile. Though I just went with the flattest of the three inserts I definitely was not happy with the way that the RTL515 refused to remain aimed perfectly straight rearward on the Wilier. This little mount solved that problem handily! Mounting it is as easy as backing out the twin fasteners (using the included Allen key), slipping it between the seat rails and then retightening the two fasteners. It takes smidge of patience to get the pair of red plastic inserts (eight are included in the box) to stay in place when initially putting the mount on the seat rails. I theorize that the red colored, hard plastic inserts are designed to help eliminate any vibration and less than optimal fit that would occur were you to just mount this aluminum mount directly to the typically metal composition seat rails? I personally would like to see these little inserts made of silicon or rubber I.E. some type of material with a softer composition. It feels like that would give it a better fit and also more capably inhibit vibration. The Garmin style bayonet insert is included and is removable via two small countersunk allen head cap screws. My initial impression is that the fit of my RTL515 into this insert could stand to be just a bit snugger? Though it does not have any play when mounted, it just does not rotate and snap into place with absolute confidence inspiring tightness.Given the cost of an RTL515 (~$200.00 USD ... and the camera equipped RCT715 is twice that much!), I am planning on picking up a protective silicon case and will always use a tether as a second line of defense against it falling off my bike while on a ride. But in the end, this creative little mount nicely solved the dilemma of a non-conforming seat post. And mounting the radar/light on the seat rails gets it as high on the bike as possible, which seems like a good thing for both overall light visibility and radar functionality. Should I thoroughly fall in love with this mount after a few rides, the price is fair enough that I can grab a few more for my other bikes without breaking the bank. Going that route will eliminate having to switch one mount from bike to bike to bike.

Do not buy unless you want to lose your Garmin Varia
The plastic mount inlay failed after 1 week, it's made from cheap brittle 3D printed plastic and it literally disinigrated, if it wasn't for my lanyard that tethered my light to my bike I would have lost the device.

Broke after 3 weeks
No costumer support even if broken

Expensive but does the job well.
No issues and far better way to attach Varia when you have a square back seat post.
