The change over valve is a little more difficult, but within the capability of most owners. 10 minutes to change. This involves removal of some screws and parts, and repeatedly moving parts. There are plenty of instructional videos on sites like YouTube and you only need 2 common torx screwdrivers. In case you are wondering you can use the torx bits from a socket set and these sizes are common in most standard socket sets. I only had problems putting one screw in during reassemble, but that was due to me not aligning the change over valve mechanism properly. After a bit of head scraching and rewatching the video this was identified and rectified. No problems with either part yet, but the pictures on others reviews are worrying. I would expect this from all suppliers on desertcart, they all seem to be selling of compatible parts. Unless you can buy OEM parts from Dyson, you cannot guarantee that the compatible parts are of Dysons high standards.
