Pebeo 520230 200 ml Solvent Based Gloss Varnish, Transparent

I bought this after lots of research into what would be the best to seal & finish off my acrylic paintings. I didn’t want it to look like I had just covered my work in PVA glue so opted for a spray rather than something you brush on. I waited 7 days for the paint to fully dry then went in with roughly 5 coats of this spray once each layer had dried. It made the colours pop and deepened the whole painting, as well as the wood I paint on. It gives a glossy sheen to the painted parts. I am very pleased with the results and will be repurchasing when this can runs out. I sprayed it outside as it has a very strong smell and I’d imagine it would be very unpleasant in a non-ventilated space. I definitely recommend!

Bought to varnish an acrylic painting on board and it worked pretty well. It did need quite a lot of coats to do the job, so not convinced it really goes very far, but went on nice and evenly and ultimately I got a finish that I was happy with. I'd probably buy this again if I wanted something at this price point - it does the job and the painting I was varnishing wasn't exactly a masterpiece, just one I liked and wanted to keep and bring a bit more pop to the surface. If I was varnishing something I felt a bit more precious about, then I'm aware there are better products out there, so would probably invest a bit more.

I've sprayed 2 paintings. The first coat on painting one, it was fine. The 2nd coat the nozzle started to slightly fail. The second painting the nozzle started failing badly.
