Excellent timer, a challenge to fit (into an old socket housing) but did get there in the end (not the products fault). The timer itself is very easy to operate (I have 5 of these now wired in). The back light (bright blue coloured) makes the overall setting-up of this unit very simple. Very clear display with good value for money, I would also recommend this timer over many of their competitors (and I have tried a few).

Very easy to wire up and install. Had to replace a 'wonderful' job by a qualified (?) electrician (last 2 pics - note burned wiring..). Thought I'd do it myself this time, with the product I wanted initially, and the knowledge of a job well done. Very straightforward. Wiring is very simple and so is timer programming. I bought a 25 mm Pattress at the same time as I was fitting it to the inside of the airing cupboard (no marks for aesthetics). It's a solid and well-made bit of kit that does precisely what is required. I installed it in 35 mins (running around to switch master isolator on & off, getting correct tools etc) and it has been working perfectly for 48 hours as I write this review.

Easy to wire up and easy to program. Build quality and display are good quality - easy to read with a bright backlight when programming. Took about 15 minutes in all, including programming. Red light means it has power going in, green light means it's feeding power to the load. Boost and advance buttons are handy. Loses a mark as the supplied screws are too short to screw into the threads in an embedded metal back-box. It seems to assume the back box is surface mounted, which isn't always the case. Had to order a set of longer ones, 50mm which was inconvenient. I can't imagine a pair of 1/2 inch longer screws would've added much to the price!

With basic knowledge you can fit this, just note the connections when you remove the original switch and wire this same way, really easy. Time guard have a video on line which is an idiots guide to programming the unit. Very straightforward. And no I'm not an electrician

Installed to control the switch-ON time for a pump in a garden pond. Allows the fish to get a night's sleep, reduces my electricity consumption and extends the pump life. The Green and Red LEDs are very useful indicators showing ON/OFF periods. Fits into a standard wall box and the switch seem to be very good quality.

This is a replacement for an older version of Timeguard timer which lasted 19 years. Updated version has simpler in and out terminals for live and neutral which enough space on the terminals to allow for spurs. Clear instructions and nice back lit display. My only gripe is the following: newer models have a slimmer profile from the wall surface. However, this results in more internals protruding into the recessed metal back box, I have had to purchase 10mm spacers in order to be able to fit the new item. Whilst I can understand cost and potential waste reasons for not including a spacer in the package, what has been annoying is not having long enough screws included. The included 35mm screws allow very little room to reach the screw holes in the back plate even if you aren’t needing to use a spacer plate. The screws from the old units were 65mm long! and are too long for the slim profile of the new unit. I feel that 50mm screws should be additionally included with the package.

Excellent Timer. Easy to fit and set and works well. Money well spent. Highly recommended.
