Engaging tactical gameplay
Diving into this board game brought unexpected depth and strategy to my evenings. With a group of friends, the dynamics of the game really shine, challenging us to think critically and strategize. The playing time is ideal, not too long to become tedious, yet long enough to build excitement and competition. The variety of cards adds a layer of unpredictability, making each game feel fresh and new. However, the rulebook could be more intuitive. It took us a bit of time to grasp the rules fully, slightly dampening our initial enthusiasm. Once we got the hang of it, though, the game flowed smoothly. Ideal for those who enjoy strategic games and have a bit of patience to learn the rules.

Potential to be a good game
This package is a real enigma, it is packaged beautifully, features some good quality cards with nice artwork and even comes with a hard back book that details the characters in the game along with their background stories. It also comes at a great price which makes it potentially a great looking gift for someone who loves card games.Where it falls down a little is the actual explanation of the game play. There is provided what seems to be a quite good game manual, definitely bigger than some you get with trading card games for example. But it is not so easy to read and understand the game play. I would suggest what is really needed is a section in the manual that illustrates a typical game round or two step by step so that people can get an example of how to play the game.Personally I will be trying to follow the manual and figure out the game mechanic, but at the moment I don't have the time to fully explore this as it sounds pretty complex. After I've done so I may well come back and provide an update to this review. But for now I have to say it is a game with potential and definitely presentation but lacking in basic instruction. I hope that maybe there will be a version 2 with an improved manual and hopefully also in the future maybe some card expansions as it shows promise and a good setting for a game.

Disappointing
I was expecting the classic Chinese card game but the rules have been completely changed and the English translation is really sloppy.
