Great little dumb phone
I have no use for a smart phone and when my Samsung dumb phone starting suffering from difficult-to activate keys I looked around for another dumb phone replacement. The TT750 fits the bill perfectly. I really needed the larger buttons and clearer display as my close-up eye sight is not what it used to be. The additional display on the front is useful too when the clamshell is closed and although it's slightly larger and heavier than my old Samsung it is not unduly so and still slips into a shirt pocket easily. The camera is fairly crude providing only a 240 x 320 pixel image with poor contrast and not terribly sharp but then I wasn't expecting much better from a £50 phone. It will also shoot video of similar quality but for that you need an optional microSD memory card inserted under the battery. The manual didn't specify memory size limits so I contacted TTphone who said they recommended cards between 8 and 16 GB, so I bought a Sandisk 16 GB card which seems to be working fine. You can connect the phone to your PC and simply drag and drop photos and videos to your hard drive. Photos can be used to add wallpaper to the phone's screen. I bought the red colour because it is the same as my Samsung and I think it looks very smart. The large keys feel very positive but when texting I do wish the software made it easier to select a capital letter in the middle of a sentence ... I still haven't mastered it. As supplied the keys talk the number pressed but I found that irritating and turned it off in the menus along with the equally irritating music when you switch the phone on and off ... silence is golden. I chose to recycle my O2 sim and the TT seems to pick up a much better signal than my Samsung did indoors so that's another bonus for me. Audio, both received and transmitted, is very good and the speaker can be set very loud for those who are hard of hearing which is also handy if you are stuck in a noisy environment. Earphones are supplied but I've not tried them so can't comment on their effectiveness. It also comes with a small charging cradle or you can simply connect the USB charging lead directly into the phone at the side. Oh, and if you find yourself in the dark, it has a torch facility activated by a button on the side of the phone. All in all a very neat little package with which I am very pleased indeed. Dave.

Nice simple phone for elderly people
Very useful basic/simple mobile phone. I bought this for my 92-year old mum. I chose a clamshell/flip phone so that she could answer it and hang up, simply by opening and closing the phone. She is sight-impaired, so the large button and speed dial facility is also very handy. This is the second one I have purchased as the first one finally died after 8 years (probably because it was always plugged in, I suspect). Because of Mum's sight impairement and (more recently) dementia diagnosis, I bought her exactly the same phone as she was so comfortable with it. It feels nice and sturdy in the hand and is easy to hold. Ringtone is loud but I agree with another reviewer that it would have been better to also have the option of a simple "ring ring" ringtone, as that would be more familiar to elderly people, rather than the tinny/plinky-plonky tunes it offers. That, and the time-consuming method of inputting numbers/programming it is the main reason I've taken a star off. Otherwise, very happy and, more importantly, so is Mum. Shame it is only 2G, but this is fine for Mum as she just uses it for calls and the coverage is decent in our area but others will need to take that into account if they purchase it.

Great little red mobile phone!
i love my new mobile phone... so simple to use .. especially now I have found out how to see the time and date through the front window without opening the case [just press a button on the side] , I'm very happy. So if you DON'T want a smartphone and just want to move your sim card into a new mobile, this one is recommended, especially if you are a 'RED' supporter! July 2018 I allowed the lid to close much too hard.... it slipped through my greasy fingers! It stopped working!! I was told the screen was damaged beyond repair and I had to buy another phone. I chose to buy the same phone 'returned' from a previous owner at a much cheaper price but in very good working order and will take much more care of it in future now I know this mobile is vulnerable if you drop it or even shut down the lid too hard.

The good, the bad and the ugly...
I bought this for my dad's 80th birthday. After using / playing with the features for a couple of weeks here's my "the good, the bad and the ugly" review: First the GOOD: I found it simple and quick to set up, the blue colour is attractive and it's compact and lightweight. The buttons and functions are very easy to use and the screen is clear and bright. So is the sound quality, even with his hearing aid he can hear people speaking clearly*. Also he has the added bonus of being able to see the caller's name displayed on the exterior screen (after inputting into the contacts first) - if he doesn't recognise the caller he doesn't have to worry about answering the phone. Now the BAD: The back is perilously flimsy to get on and off. In fact, it's wafer thin and I was afraid it would break even though I was being exceptionally gentle with it. The ringtones may not appeal to the many (they're pretty basic), but are more than adquate for my dad. For the record the camera image quality is poor / blurry as best, again this doesn't matter to him as he won't be using this feature. Also the battery doesn't hold it's charge even with casual use and drops a bar pretty quickly. Finally, a reminder icon on the front screen to indicate you'd missed a call / text would be better rather than having to open the phone to check the screen inside. Now the UGLY: My mum's Doro phone is not compatible with it - when we call his TT Fone from the Doro we can hear him but he can't hear us*. I contacted the manufacturer to enquire why this could be and although they responded quickly I didn't actually receive a workable solution to the problem. It's especially frustrating as everyone else's handset works just fine. If I do manage to resolve the issue I'll update this review. Verdict: Based on our personal experience (so far) I'd rate this phone 2.5 / 5. This only takes into consideration the features that apply to my dad and not the camera quality etc, as it wasn't purchased for that purpose. If my mum's phone could call him it would obviously be a huge bonus. In hindsight I'd have bought him a Doro too, which feels way more "robust" than this model...

Great product
Bought this product for my dad as he isn't the best with technology and this phone was ideal for him. The buttons are large and clear and very simple. Flip the phone open to answer the call and close the phone again to end the call. Cannot be any simpler than that. The menus are simple to use with good sized writing to allow easy reading. The ringtone is loud so can be heard from a distance. Not too sure the microphone is the best as I have been on the call to my dad and it feels like he is talking very quietly but he is speaking fine. Apart from that, all good.

Not recommended as a phone for older users
Bought this for my mother to use advertised as big button simple to use. She does not find it easy to use, the buttons are big but the screen is difficult for her to read and she finds navigating the menu difficult - it took me a while to find the ringtone options . The ringtones on offer are disappointing none of them is a traditional 'ring' sound and my mother who is slightly hard of hearing finds the tune ringtones hard to tell from the background on TV or radio and often misses calls as a result. The menu to access messages is complicated and to read a message requires many keystrokes running through a hard to read list of options. The charging cradle also stopped working after a week . Have not returned as she has recently moved and its her only phone until I can get a replacement. Its probably OK as a low tech phone for someone who wants a cheapish non smartphone But would not recommend for an older person to use unless they are tech savy

Good Basic Phone
I bought this for the Domestic Authority, who slammed her car tailgate down on her old phone. This action seemed to exceed the phone's specifications, and she brought it home in a small bucket. It kept dialling 112 in her handbag anyway; she's been on the Fire Brigade, Police, Ambulance and Coastguard's holiday rotas and Christmas card lists for some time now, so no great loss. So, what's this one like? First impression is the build quality; it's very good. All the bits fit properly, with no gaps where there shouldn't be gaps and a nice fluid feel when you flip it open. The keys have a nice feel, too; just the right amount of pressure so you know when you've pressed and when you haven't pressed. The phone is small, like many flip-phones, but not tiny. You won't be pressing three buttons at once. I was going to give it only four stars, because of the lack of features; on reflection, that seemed unfair as they don't claim it does anything it doesn't. In fact, there's only one irritation: it doesn't support vcards, so you're going to be putting all your contacts in manually, just like the old days. Have fun. Overall, it's a great phone if you just want that: a phone, with no bells or whistles, and it should be on your shortlist. I'm not keen on flip-phones, but the DA absolutely loves it, which is the important thing, and that says it all really. And brownie points for me.

Tried three phones - this was best of the bunch (but is only 2G so watch out for UK switch off)
I've been trying to help a friend replace her older Nokia flip phone. She has had some eyesight deterioration so we wanted to try one of these big button types. The first we tried was a non-flip type. It was OK, but the layout of menus etc on the screen was woefully dated and not very clear. It also had volume buttons on the side which protruded quite a lot. So I trawled through some of the other phones on here and tried a Uleway model (whihc I've reviewed also) and this one. Pros • Of the three this comes across as slightly better in most ways. The presentation of the 'phone on Amazon, the boxing, the overall feel of quality (in relative terms) and how well thought out things are. • It is a touch smaller than the other model but still big enough that the keypad buttons are large with clear lettering/numbering and the screen is usefully bigger than a non-flip type. • Call quality and ability to pick up a signal in a very poor signal area was about the same as my modern smartphone and the other phones we tried • Call sound quality is good – my friend does not have hearing impairment so I’m not sure whether others would say it is loud enough or not, but it seems good to me. • It has a display on the outside as well which shows the time etc and will show who is calling • It can be set to answer just by opening the phone • It can read the numbers as you dial – volume can be adjusted • Numbers being dialled are large and clear white on a black background with a clean, modern font • Its menus are clear and simple. At the top level it has a big colour picture icon for each. Then the options inside each area are clear, clean lettering. There are probably too many options in the menus for most people these will be bought for, but they’re OK if someone more used to phones is on hand to set up • The buttons for selecting menu options are big and clear with only simple up and down buttons for going through a contacts list for example – no four way menu pads or whatever • It can be set so that when you press the up or down buttons it will go straight into a menu. So for example, up could go straight into the Contacts list without needing to press a separate button • Contacts can be dialled simply by pressing the green dial button when on a name (that’s one less step than another phone we tried) • The charger is a very neat small one the same size as a UK plug head (i.e. like a modern Apple charger) and it uses a standard USB A to USB mini lead (so is easy to replace if needed) • Instructions are reasonably clear (has a quick start guide and a bigger booklet) and in good English (rare!) • Comes with some cheapo headphones and has a 3.5mm port • It will do sounds for power on, power off and open phone, close phone – but these can be turned off easily Cons • The battery is smaller capacity than some we tried (i.e. 800 mAh vs 1000 mAh). I’m not sure what this will translate into in terms of how long it will hold a charge. • The SOS button is not marked as such and is smaller – that may be a good or bad thing depending on your point of view. • Like all the phones we tried the ring tones were pretty dreadful apart from one which was passable – but others can be added. • It is 2G only so will stop working on Vodafone in 2025 and on all networks between now and 2033 (others have not announced). It won’t work on 3 or other networks which use 3 under the skin. We didn’t try the SOS feature or Bluetooth

Rapport qualité-prix
