Cute little sprout kit!
OK, this is an amazing giftable kit for a child because it's compact, it comes with everything you need except water, and it's educational. I thought this would be an excellent stocking stuffer for my daughter as a way to give her a gift that is also an experience that she could unwrap. It came with radish seeds and the whole thing fits in a relatively flat and lightweight box.You can see from the picture, but it also comes with a little pop out card as well as instructions on what to expect (ex: 7-10 days you can see the sprouts). Our family has done a sprout before but not in a kit, so I felt like this would be something that she could independently explore and try on her own. I do think that there's a little bit of parental involvement though in getting started and understanding what to do.This doesn't take up much space, and if you have kids that are cautious or fearful about eating new things, watching them grow and then trying them when they did the whole thing from start to finish can be a great way to introduce those tastes. This little set was awesome and I would buy from the company again and do other kits. So cool!

Nice starter for kids to learn to grow
This works fine to teach your younglings how to grow some plants. Obviously, it will work better if you have some outside space to transfer the plants to when they get older, but you can also handle most of them indoors just fine. I wouldn't say this is a pollinator kit per say, but it does have a decent mix of plants.

Good in theory. Misses the mark w/important details.
I got the Modern Sprout Interactive Kit as a gift for my neice & nephew, 9 & 11 so they could learn about growing plants. It is smaller than I thought it would be, but simple to set up. As it's winter here, I put a heated grow mat that I own underneath it to help the germination process along. I've grown plenty from seed, they haven't. After the sprouts grew enough that they were toppling over it was time to try them. They didn't like the taste at all & at their age I don't remember like spicy greens either. Now, yes. This is a cute set up, I don't know why they labeled it "Pollinator Habitat" w/pics of flowers on the cover, yet included radish seeds, because grown in this container & with the seeds provided the plants have a slim chance of flowering & reaching a state where they can be pollinated. I think "Germination or Seed Growing Kit" would be much more accurate. Also, I don't know of many young kids who like spicy microgreens which the radish are. There are many others to choose from that kids would eat & like. For those reasons I cannot give this 5 stars. It's good in theory but missed the mark in execution.

Great idea for kids to learn about growing and taking care of plants
This was good, but the quality of the box used to grow the seeds was not great. It fell apart pretty quickly, and the seeds barely grew. It was a disappointment.

Gets kids excited about growing with fast results!
This kit really got my kid excited about growing things! The plants sprout and grow so quickly! She's been really involved with it and it went way better than other similar projects we've tried in the past that took too long and lost her attention. The kit has everything you need and the directions are super easy to follow. We found it was best to put it in a small baking pan to catch any leakage or spills (there's been several) There's an option to have them text you daily to remind you to water and check your plants and that has been AMAZING! I wish they'd text me for all my plants! My daughter has rarely needed the reminders though because she is so excited to check them daily!

Put together nicely
This kit is put together nicely and will be lots of fun this weekend with my niece. We've planted seeds before but when they take awhile little ones lose interest.Micro greens will be sprouting quickly and ready to eat. She also has the set to put together as an activity first - so it's a win-win.She loves salads so I can't wait for her to have the opportunity to eat something she has grown. I did this with one of my other littles and they are still coming over to help me water and check the garden.

Misleading description -- radish sprouts do not help pollinators
The kit itself is well-packaged and fun as a gift, but I take issue to the company calling this a "pollinator kit". Bees do pollinate radishes, but growing them indoors in a kit like this does not do anything to help pollinators. This kit is also marketed as microgreens, which by definition, are young sprouts, and do not produce flowers. Again, doesn't help provide nectar for pollinators.Fun kit, but not accurate to call it a pollinator habitat.

A fun activity
The set up for the plant was simple, but I chose not to use the flower decorations, because some of my seeds were accidentally placed under the decoration. It was fun to see the plant grow as I consistent watered it every day for 10 days after waiting for the process to begin. I didn't have a lot of heat or sunlight, so on darker days I would try to see if my lamp could give my plants what they needed. It was a little sad to cut them down, but a great result for only 10 days of growing. However, the seeds were still stuck to some of the plants. The flavor of the plant is a bit weird. I liked that it had a spicy feeling to it, but didn't enjoy the flavor all too much. It might taste better eating it on something or together with something rather than raw by itself.
