Really does a wonderful job.
The RING tech support will help you with the settings that best fit your needs. This is a wonderful product. The camera's lens is highly sensitive and gives GREAT views in still format and LIVE feed too.

Amazing quality and Easy Set up
I purchased this camera for my back yard to overlook my pool. The camera was incredibly easy to set up. You just scan a QR code and follow the instructions. The quality of the camera is amazing and coupled with the Ring solar panel, I have peace of mind knowing that if anyone enters my backyard, I will be notified and can see with amazing clarity.

Very easy to assemble
Motion detection is not as sensitive as I would have liked.

Great Camera
I own several other ring products doorbell cameras, floodlights and alarm system. The quality of the video and the easy installation was just as I expected. My only complaint about this camera is that they advertise the bird eye view feature but it doesn't work. The map it uses is very blurry and I was able to see my house.

I love this thing. It was a little difficult to find the best placement for this but once installed it works great.

Amazing picture quality.
*Edited reviewI got a call out of the blue from Ring offering to fix the problem. I'm all about integrity and making things right. I had a very nice talk and was shipped a brand new Camera. This is how a company is supposed to be ran. I'll leave the initial review posted below as I've seen done before, and hope that if someone sees it, they won't be discouraged.Power supply seems to have failed within about six to seven months. I choose this camera to replace a camera that lasted for 4 years with little to no issues. This camera (probably a lemon from the factory-it does happen) had issues with staying connected to the network more than any other camera I used.

The Absolute Best Outdoor Camera!
I had the Google Nest outdoor cameras, and they always had problems dropping off and not recording for huge blocks of time (which doesn't help when it's a SECURITY camera!). I would constantly have to reconnect them to my router, turn them off and on to try to get them reconnect, and despite having 2 Nest signal boosters, I was finally fed-up and replaced all 4 of my outside cameras with the Ring system. The Ring cameras have so far been flawless. I've had them several months now, and they have never dropped off my router or not recorded every second of every day. The night vision goes at least twice as far out as the Nest (a long, long way) and the range of video capture from side-to-side is much greater, allowing me to have no blind spots with the same 4 cameras. I purchased the wired version with a plug, and each camera has a battery for backup should the power go out (we have a whole house backup generator anyway, so they would only be without power for 30 seconds before the generator restored power). The LED light is very bright and even penetrates well into our heavily wooded yard. It's great that the sirens can be linked to my new Ring security system (that arrives today) so that all my outdoor cameras as well as the indoor siren will go off if our house is broken into. The motion detection is amazing--the front camera picks up cars passing down our street that is over 200 feet away and is mostly blocked by trees and brush--I couldn't believe that it could detect that motion--and that's with the motion sensitivity set to only 75% out of 100%. So far, this has been a far superior to the Nest, which is all I can compare it to. I install my Ring security system today, so I'll submit a review of it as soon as I've had it a couple of months at least. My final comment is get Ring for all your camera and security needs, don't ever purchase a Google Nest product. Once Nest sold-out to Google, they stopped updating it, and now their products can't compete with Ring. Trust me, I've had a lot of Nest products, and they're terrible.

You take the good...you take the bad...
...and there you have....Ring.Pros:*Familiar technology with easy integration into their system*Decent support (6.5/10) for most calls but a company which will try to do the right thing; you just need to push them*Amazon owned = quick shipping + fairly painless replacements (if applicable)*Image quality is improving (more on that below though)*Night mode is solid*Lights power on when motion is detected is a great featureCons:*Camera is priced extremely high for the technology. It's 2023, and Ring still uses 1080p cameras (when peers are using 4k resolution). That matters, because the unit is stuck with that camera until you replace it. No matter how many updates Ring does...this unit will always max out at 1080p resolution. I'm sorry, I don't think that deserves the Pro label in a product line.*Purchased the item during a Prime Day event. Ring ships two (2) boxes: one camera and then a hard wired kit. That was strange. In addition, this "hardwired kit" is just a charger for the unit. It wires into your home's electrical circuits (sure), but interfaces via a USB-C plug which must be plugged into the device and then secured with a cover. This is far different when compared to the Ring Doorbell wired hardware (which are directly wired into the doorbells). To me, it introduces additional failure points.*Limited instructions on how to install the hardwired kit. I used another Reviewer's videos and found that much more helpful vs. the included instruction packet.*Quality: My initial hardwired kit broke. I placed the camera on the post, tried moving the camera and...snap...it broke. Amazon helped and sent a replacement immediately.*This specific camera works...well....at times. Currently showing on my app that I am in hardwired mode, but my web portal shows battery. Same device, same company, same technology...why the difference? That matters because battery mode updates the snapshot timeline far less frequent vs. powered...but my device says it is powered (unless I look at the web portal)?...there is a ticket with Ring for this currently.Overall Review:I'm not an electrician by any means, but I am savvy and know how to find resources. A simple YouTube search (or Amazon video review in my case) gets you to someone who can help with the wiring. The fact that this "wired' kit is a touch misleading and the quality of the camera post is a solid 3/10 (easy to snap) is a pain point. The real issue (as many have said) is that I feel this unit isn't ready for Prime Time; maybe the JV game before though. Lacking camera resolution (1080p?!) + conflicting outputs (app vs. website) on the same platform with the same unit + limited instructions = good, not great.I didn't use the Bird's Eye View, so I have no review on that.***Update: 09/01/2023: As of the time of this writing, I never received a response from Ring (or Amazon about the delay in responses from Ring - as Ring is owned by Amazon) about the open ticket. The camera began saying it was in battery mode again and eventually drained the battery. It was plugged in and receiving power & solid WiFi (validated by my wireless network as it has data on connection, signal strength, etc of the devices on the network) but would periodically say it was not receiving power and had a weak WiFi signal; smh - wireless router within 20' of the unit. Ring Customer support was terrible. Multiple transfers and lack of product knowledge. Amazon support wasn't much better. Transferred to 6+ people within a Customer Service chat. That was enough for me. I returned it.

Great - but Birds Eye not work in Australia yet.
The birdseye features doesn’t work well yet given the map partner doesn’t have imagery for Australia. Amazon needs to fix. They’ve said it’s on their roadmap.Otherwise the camera is great and new 2022 technology over the previous 2018 one.

Cannot view replay without subscription
Camera is good. It works with solar panel perfectly. But, without subscription, the camera is useless. It can sends motion alerts, but it cannot show any thing triggered the motion in Ring app.At least, in Ring app, users can replay video saved in local storage.
