The Japanese believe that Marimo will bring good luck. Hence, they grow it in a glass bottle or aquarium with just some water & ceiling light. Water change is only required once every 2 weeks. Marimo is a very popular plant in fish tanks, shrimp tanks, craft projects, and desk displays. Benefits of Marimo in Aquarium • This plant does NOT cause algae problem • Live Plants is a natural biological filter to remove ammonia in aquarium. Just drop them into the fish tank and squeeze it gently in the fish tank water to let it sink to the bottom • Propagate by dividing into smaller pieces, which become spherical over time • No carbon dioxide injection required for healthy growth Marimo in Aquarium Marimo grow in tap water at room temperature as long as the water is changed every one or two weeks (more frequently in summer and less often in winter). The marimo can be placed in the refrigerator in hot weather (above 28°C/ 82F), but does not survive freezing. Photosynthesis occurs in normal household lighting; otherwise, indirect sunlight since the marimo is adapted for low light conditions only. If the marimo's green color turns brownish it may recover without intervention, otherwise a very minimal amount of salt can be added as a suggested remedy. Slightly squeeze the marimo in clean water weekly. This plant does NOT cause algae problem. Negligible maintenance required. Excellent live plant gift for your friend or loved ones! Moss balls may arrive flattened after shipping but that is no problem! Simply place them in water and they will expand back to their full size or can be rolled around in your hand to make circular again.

Very pleased
Very happy with size, condition and health of the moss balls I received.Put them in quarantine tank with water changes every couple of days.No snail or microbe contamination at all.Would recommend several rinses as they initially made water a bit cloudy with debris held in them such as tiny round black grit and dirt.Am about to put them in my main aquarium.Very good value for money.Fork in photo was what I had handy for size comparison.

Snails Snails Snails.
These little things infested my aquarium with Snails they are the only real plants I have in my 520 litre tank. Don't make the same mistake as I did if you buy these treat for Snails before putting them in your tank unless like me you will have a Thousand of pond Snails and millions of eggs believe me that's a nightmare 👎👎👎

Don’t think I can use them! Contains worms.
At first glance the balls appear fine, but on closer inspection they contained worms and what looked like tiny eggs. I haven’t taken them out of the packet yet and I’m in two minds whether to use them as I don’t want to compromise my tank! Will probably end up throwing away. What a waste of money!

They arrived all in good health.Did need a good rinse through before placing them in my tanks. To help get rid of as many snail eggs as possible. But that is to be expected, due to the nature in witched there keept .All in all very happy with them do have a few snails . But i dont mind them , my Betta’s dont seem to mind them either!I would happily buy again if I needed to.

Not the bright colour as per photo..but
Not the bright colour as per photo..but seem to be okay for the snails and fish. I washed them out under the tap in warm water first and to squeeze out the air so they drop and not float.
