Comfortable boots
Had these for a few months now and it has held up amazingly. Comfort got even better as I broke them in. I got them in the wide option. I would recommend and would buy these again.

Got good use of them
I do commercial HVAC service so I am constantly on my feet and lots of movement in all different terrains, steel run ladders, concrete, rough roofs you name it.I got a good solid 16 months out of these without complaint. After that, both started taking on water in the outer rear corners from where I wore through the soles. My favorite feature, is the bellows. I do a lot of stooping and climbing and maneuvering so it was beneficial.I really like these, they were a replacement for my Keen Portland boots which lasted me about 26 months. The failure point on those was the bellows both cracked in the middle but that could be expected after a long use.Overall, for made in America boots at this price point I would absolutely recommend them.

Good work boot
My only Gripe is the metal retainer to hold the laces gets caught either by the laces or the loop on the back of the shoe. I’ve tripped up a couple of times on stairs or holding something heavy and could see myself falling so I cut them off. Otherwise good fit, stylish and long lasting had mine for three years. I work as a mechanic and welder they see oil, water, sharp or heavy metal, fire even but they’ve lasted

substantial build - oops - good support
This is a substantial boot. I was told by the people that Keen that this was going to be more substantial than the previous one I had. The structure of this food has been very supportive during most of the day on my feet.Oops! One of the lace hooks popped all the way out of the leather the second time I wore them. Keen warranty decided to give me a credit to buy a replacement pair. That's pretty heavy duty support

Not buying Keen again
Me:5ft11in tall 230lbs15-20k steps per day, 5 days per weekPlantar FasciitisAmazing beardDry humor2nd pair Keen bootsThe Environment:Family Amusement Center17 acres of trees, grass, weeds, overgrown plants, thick brush, hot asphalt, broken concrete, thick mud, sharp rocks, crumbling hills, deep ditches, storm drains, retention ponds, 2 over themed mini-golf courses, Go Kart track, 6 outbuildings, water rides, fountains,1 main structure with 2 floors with approximately 25k sqft of video games, skating rinks, claw machines, VR games, air hockey tables 2 kitchens, a snack bar, screaming kids/drunk parents, etc.The Work:Heavy equipment operationsMechanicMowing/brush cuttingTree removalHardscapingPond maintenanceCarpentryPlumbingElectricalCleaning up after the kids, the parents and everyone else.Keen Boot unboxing:Keen Boot box was ripped, crushed and tornBoot box was inside an Amazon box when it arrived so Amazon apparently shipped a crushed, deformed and damaged package.Boots out of the box I found the Boot ankle areas were crushed as if weight had sat on the box for some time, form eventually returned to its original shape. Then I noticed the treads on the sole of both boots appeared to have an additional layer of rubber in between and covering the lugs as if the sole machine press left behind some plastic/rubber.Keen support via their website chat told to me take the boot to a local cobbler for help. That "local cobbler" used needle nose pliers to peel off what can only be described as a thin, extra sheet of rubber formed over the good heel and during manufacturing. It peeled off easily and the boot heels looked okay.Started wearing boots 8hrs a day 5 days a week on June 20th.Boot wearing:2 day break inRoomy toe box areaPlenty of room for use of Plantar Fasciitis orthotic inserted on top of Keen boot insertVery hot feet inside boots, no venting due to waterproof. Waterproofing tested good to ankle deep water on day 5.Good traction on wet landscaping, dry landscaping, mud, wet tile floors, loose stones, demolition debris, slimy pond rocks, loose dirt hills, gravel lined ditches, thick brush, grass... pretty much everywhereBoot holds/stands on ladder rung wellGood boot laces and lacing optionsToe guard is toughBellow area on top of boot (for bending) is kind of a gimmick in my opinion. I don't get the sense of any more comfort or ease of bending from the Keen boot vs other full leather work boots.Boot Retirement:Boot sole, as of October 24th, has perforations within the small grooves around each of the tread lugs, and when walking through any moisture, such as dew, a puddle, a spilled kids drink, any liquid i step on gets sucked into the sole of the boot and becomes trapped between the sole and the boot liner inside, making a squishy noise until one or both feet get wet.The leather, laces, eyelets, padding, and toe guard are still in very good shape. Most of the tread lugs have at least 50% left on them after 5 months of use, between 5- 8 Miles per day 5 days week.My first pair of Keen boots ( Portland model) lasted 6 months before the seams began to fall apart and the heal wore through.I will most likely look for a different brand work boot and not buy Keen Boots this time.
