Changing the board with the transponder and battery attached is really easy. However changing over the key blade with my old one needed a little more work. You need to hold the blade in a vice then tap out the locating pin with a suitable size drill bit. This separates the blade from the key spring mechanism. Do the same on both old and new keys then swap blades. Lineup the holes and replace pin. job done in 10 mins.

I ordered two as the vehicle I bought came with two gnarly key fobs.When these came I swapped them straight away. The tiny pins are a pain to get out, harder to get in, but once you know how and with the right tools, you're richly rewarded with new keys! When I look at the fob I image I've also got a new car outside. Turned out not to be the case, sorely disappointed.Great key fobs though.

My car fob had broken so I needed a replacement. This fob arrives in a small bag with no instructions on how to open the fob and replace with my old car key. So I had to pull it apart which I worried I was going to break it. Then swapping over the key parts was tricky…. Very fidderly. Eventually got it working but wasn’t an easy process.
