I've been using the HQMaster Up & Down Cut Compression Bits (1/8" Shank) on my 24x48 CNC to cut hardwoods like walnut and maple, and they've performed exceptionally well. The longevity is impressive, especially considering the price.Like any bit, they can break on knots, but I’ve found this usually happens when my speed and RPM settings aren't properly adjusted, not due to the bit itself. When dialed in correctly, these bits cut cleanly and hold up just as well—if not better—than some better-known brands I've tried.For anyone working with hardwood, these are a solid 5-star choice. Highly recommended!

What's not to like? Economically priced and they work great. This 5-pack costs less than one single bit from other brands and they cust just as cleanly.

I really like these and will buy again. These compression bits have last a good while also. I really like the short compression tip on these. Others you have to go .200 on the 1st pass to get deep enough for the down cut of the tool.

Good quality for the price, cut very clean and keeps that cut quality for at least ten batches of 32” by 32” sheets of material
