Could have been so great... but... - Its not a good 4/5. As in it isn't like wow almost perfect. It is actually borderline 3/4. Here is why: I was so damn excited to play this game. The biggest excitement i had for a very long time. Why? I spent hours on YouTube looking at these guys starting their careers in NXT and I was like WHAT A SICK IDEA. WHAT AN INGENIUS CONCEPT. Only Trips could have thought of this. No one else. Then I played it and I was like wow holy mother of Mae Young this is dope. This is bigger than dope. This is badass. This is Steve Austin. I made my character. His name was Omar. His finisher was an inverted pile driver. I chose it because WWE banned the pile driver and I was a heel so I do things the authority don't like. Anyway, spent hours on the game. Creating this beast character. I spent hours on his moveset. Making them perfect. Done. He was a divine superstar in the making. Come, lets head over to career mode... wait a minute... where is career mode? I can see Steve Austin mode... I.e. run through this whole game as Steve Austin (which btw is very very cool) but where is my career starting in NXT? I seen it on YouTube.. Then I realised. At this point my heart sank to sadness. They do not have career mode on PS3. Why you ask? Only Trips knows. But that alone made me hate this game. All I can do with my wonderful character is... play against a computer in a normal match or against my pals. I cannot explore. I cannot take him from NXT development to the main event at WrestleMania. Only on a PS4 which I do not own. Rest of the game is good. But I am thoroughly dissapointed. I can only do a Stone Cold career. And furthermore, even if I did not wish to be my own created Character, I am limited to only Stone Cold to progress through this game and play as? I mean I love the guy but I want to be the phenom, I wanna be Trips, I wanna be Michaels, Finn Balor, Lesnar list goes on and on but I can only literally use those guys in a random match against a computer. I said 4 at the beginning right. 4 stars? You note the rating I gave is 3 stars now? Whilst writing, and realising I was so limited in this awesome game, I reduced a star. Because I've created a superstar entrance everything and when I was ready to start a career mode... There's no career mode on ps3. There's no Road to wrestlemania, so if you are thinking in buying this game for both reasons I did, save your money. And buy a xbox one or a ps4 because you can only play that modes in wwe2k16 for that platforms.
