I liked that it had a water colored plastic tray to simulate the ocean. Beach sets usually skip that part.All the accessories make for imaginative play and these are the same size figures as the more pricey Bluey figures. If, you have more than 1 kid to buy for, then this set for one kid and the Bluey vehicle with surfboards for the other kid would make great presents. The theme is the same and both kids get their own unique gift that plays well together.

My 6 year old got these in her Easter basket and loves them. It's a cute little family of porcupines with soft quills. They're a bit larger than I expected but that's a plus since they're easier to keep track of. I had similar little animal families called "furry families" when I was little and these remind me a lot of them but larger and a bit fancier. They are a lower cost alternative to calico critters, although I don't know how they compare to those because we don't have any. These are cute though and, aside from some difficulties getting them out of the plastic at first (the plastic around their necks is held together with a little plastic tag behind their heads, something that took me ages to figure out), we've been happy with them.

We love these lil woodzeez! My daughter collects this brand as well as calico critters, and she was thrilled to get these. I wasn't sure if they would be too similar to the pickleweeds hedgehog family we have from calico critters, but these are actually pretty different, and the main thing we both noticed is that their hair is so much softer! It's super soft and a delight to play with.Our only disappointment was that this set did not come with the little book with a story about the family. Our other lil woodzeez families have come with that. I'm not sure if it was left out by mistake, or if it's just not part of the product.

The Li’l Woodzeez porcupine family dolls are adorable. The suggested age range is 3+, and the set is not suited for babies and teething toddlers because of small parts. The dolls’ quills are actually soft fur. Their heads can turn, and the arms move up and down at the shoulder joint, so the dolls can be posed. As shown in the product pictures, their clothes are bright and fun. The dolls look to be well made, and I see no problems with glue. The set I ordered was supposed to include a “family storybook,” but I did not receive the book. I had to cut away the plastic casing holding the dolls securely inside the packaging—an adult needs to do it because a child might damage the dolls (see the plastic around the necks and arms of the dolls in the pictures I took before opening). This is not a toy that children should open by themselves. Once the plastic is removed, though, it’s all good.

The porcupine family is a cute one! Now to even get to them is a pain. They are entirely too secure in the packaging. I was so nervous about cutting them out for fear of cutting their clothes or hair. The piece you have to clip is around their neck and it’s tight. I recommend some teeny scissors like for eyebrows. After they are free from their absurd packing, you can really appreciate how much great detail is present. Each outfit and face is unique. They are chunky and I was very pleased with the size. Although I do agree with ages three and up for this set. They fit nicely in the palm of my hand. I have a couple other sets that I keep at my house for my grandkids to play with. I am happy with this porcupine addition. I like the natural essence the woodland creatures bring to the play station.

My kids love playing with Li’l Woodzeez and we have accumulated a pretty good collection of different figures and sets. This porcupine family was a welcomed addition to our ever growing collection. This set includes a family of four and I love the detail on all of them and the different clothing each one is wearing. Their quills are actually really soft fur and they fit right in with our other figures. I wish there was a book included with these like some of the other sets have but they are a great gift for any Li’l Woodzeez fan.

I have collected Lil Woodzeez toys for several years. I have several playlets such as school,bakery,etc and many families of different species.First my nieces loved them and now my grandson does.The attention to detail and all the accessories allow for hours of imaginative play. The animals live in a loving family and community and model many positive traits for kids.Even grown ups adore them.They do have small parts so aren't for under age 3 littles.Somehow I never had seen the porcupine family before so I am excited to add this family to town! Their "quills" are soft and so are their hearts. You will be 100% satisfied with these toys. Quality is a hallmark of the brand.These would be great for Easter baskets.

These Lil Woodzeez figures are just the cutest! From their fuzzy heads to their cute little outfits- any kids are bound to live them! They are durable, good quality, and have so much play potential! They truly allow for open ended, endless imaginative play!
