I use this geological map as a quick 'at a glance' reference guide to accompany bedrock maps and books that I have with higher detail. On a few occasions, it has brought to my attention, an area of particular interest which I explored further. Well laid out and easy to understand.

great quality, very informative UK map for my students

A must for anyone with more than a casual interest in the structure of Britain, whether amateur geologists or teachers. It covers all the islands, from Shetland to the Scillies and includes the Channel Islands and the section of Northern France nearest to them. Because of the scale, some of the finer annotations are very small and therefore difficult to read, especially when over darker colours, but this is a minor point. The map is not too large to mount or frame permanently so it can be hung on a wall and viewed easily.
