Our cat kind of liked it
I think this is a quality cat food a recommendation from our vet if I recall, bought for our diabetic cat, he can be a fussy eater so there was a bit of waste unfortunately, so did blend it in with his usual Felix pouches which seemed to eventually work

Special occasional treat for my cat who has frozen steamed food
I have a large Birman male cat who is not a greedy feeder. In an attempt to keep him healthy I decided from when he was a kitten not to feed the usual low protein tinned foods available. Thrive is brilliant and is saved for when he is off colour after worming etc and to mix with some of the food flavours he has that he is not so keen on. As soon as he sees the tin he sits salivating beside it whilst I am opening it and slurps it up in seconds, whereas normally he eats very slowly. High protein content, smells nice and obviously popular with my cat! Cats that like pate type foods might not like it’s real meat texture. Tins are very small and not a lot of choice in the range, which is why it is kept for a treat, as he would possibly get bored with it, which would be a shame. I have given some to a couple of friends with picky cats and their cats have enjoyed it too.

Worth every penny
Highly recommended. I have seen a few online complaints that (1) cats don't like Thirve and (2) it's not worth the money for a small tin with a wet contents. Addressing the points in turn: (1) If your cat has been eating dry kibble or low quality meat-derivative cat food for yonks, then it will take time and patience to wean them off their existing diet and onto healthier, high quality wet-foods like Thrive. Imagine the human equivalent - if you had spent years eating hamburgers, could you switch over to straight away to a diet of steamed chicken ? No! It would take a period of adjustment, but the move is worth it. Cats eventually learn to eat what they are given (if they have no other choice). It can be frustrating to put food down that they aren't eating, but give it time, and they certainly will move onto the Thrive. (2) You get what you pay for. If you check the ingredients of these tins against dry kibble or a low quality wet cat food, you will see a clear difference between the principle ingredients. Dry kibble and low quality cat food will say something like "meat derivatives" or "4% chicken". Thrive tins say "75% chicken". Cats are carnivores who need high quantities of protein and they cannot process large amounts of carbohydrate. If your cat food only has a small amount of meat in it, the rest is likely carbohydrate. If your cat is overweight, it's likely that this is because they are eating a lot of carbohydrate in their diet. I would rather pay £.90 per tin for a high quality protein than £0.20 per serving to feed my cat carbs - it's that simple. Also, the high quantity of liquid in the food is excellent for cats - cats naturally would obtain most of their water in the wild from their meals (rather than drinking it separately to their food) so this is a very natural way for cats to hydrate. My cat now eats only two tins of this per day (as opposed to a much higher quantity of kibble, on which she always seemed hungry) and is happier and more satisfied. If your cat eats kibble, I would recommend making the switch. It may seem more expensive now but will make your cat happier in the long run and will help avoid heath issues associated with a high-carb diet.

Fantastic.
I have an elderly cat, nearly 19 years old. If you think your cat gets fussier and fussier as time goes by, imagine how fussy mine is. I have pretty much exhausted the choice of wet cat food out there- and although he loves his dry food (despite being down to 2 teeth) he needs wet food to have his medicine hidden in (don't tell him). I have fed Scooter this food for several months now and he hasn't [yet] gone off it. He definitely prefers the chicken flavour to the tuna, but I'm sure he'll go through another fishy phase some time. The food looks natural- the chicken isn't in ominous, griselly lumps as I've found with other products, the chicken looks like it has been cooked and shredded. It is in natural juices. The tins are small but there is lots packed tightly in. Just separate it out with a fork on his plate. He loves it and I never have to throw any away and can hide his medicine easily. No artificial colours, which I think is important. I can never understand why colour is added to pet food when the pet can't see those colours anyway! When looking at premium cat food be sure to check that it says 'complete' and not 'complementary' as only the 'complete' will contain essentials like taurine. I now have this on subscription, getting a large order delivered once a month, which makes it cheaper than buying it in the shop, free delivery too. Excellent!

My boy loves it!
My senior cat had gone off every type of supermarket food I had tried and was losing weight, relying on treats for his nutrition. That's until I found this brand! He loves it! And as a loving cat owner I can rest easy knowing my cat is being well-nourished with no nasties. They're also the perfect serving size for his small appetite. Will buy again!
