Got this for my son and he loves it. He carries it around (in the bag it came with) everywhere he goes. He said the string tightening was delicate at first but got better with time. Great beginner uke.

The shipper delivered as promised. It was in great shape and value with everything that came with it.My 4-year-old granddaughter loves it!

I like the low price and the full kit including tuner, bag, strings, strap, and wiping cloth. However, the English translation on the card leaves something to desire and I think for $10 more, it's worth it to go with an Aklot Soprano Uke kit. Especially considering the Aklot's solid top.If you really have to save that money, like you're buying a lot of these for a school setting, then consider this Donner because every 5 ukes you're getting another one. But it's just a cloth rectangle bag instead of a fitted padded bag, there are no strap buckles on the frame so I don't actually understand how to hook on the strap, etc. Basically, you notice the $10 difference between this and the Aklot. You can also notice a tiny bit of sound difference - for example, you might think the high C on a C chord (using A string) is less prominent on this Donner, or you might think that's good because it could sound lower / richer / less tinny. I also don't know if that nut is supposed to be angled (higher on the left G string / lower on the right A string), or flat and even like the Aklot's.Also note, for this uke and the Aklot, tuning took ... patience. For example, the A string would 'sag' low out of tune and constantly has to be readjusted, though it seems to be settling in and doing so less as the hours pass. This happened with the Aklot's G string. So I'm thinking it takes time for them to 'settle in'. But the paperwork that comes in the box doesn't tell you that.

Great package of all you'll need and at a super price! The tuner is very helpful. I'm learning to play with a group of friends and having so much fun. Who ever said you can't teach an old dog new tricks was so wrong!

This tiny instrument came nicely packaged. The uke was shipped in a box and covered in a protective bag. Donner included a nice tuner, strap, a cleaning cloth, a carrying bag and a few picks. The strings were loosened to help prevent damage during shipping. There were several colors to choose from. I selected the natural finish which was varnished to glossy shine. The top is spruce and the back and sides are mahogany.Be prepared to spend a good bit of time tuning the ukulele to proper pitch the first few times. This is normal since it takes a while for the strings to stretch. Donner uses Aquila strings on this ukulele which are of good quality.The finish was nicely done, and the bridge and saddle were neat and well fitted. The frets were polished and the fretboard looked to be of good quality. The action was good which means strings were low enough that it did not take much effort to depress them so the notes would play clearly without buzzing or going out of tune. The notes were in tune up and down the neck.The limited warranty information is outlined on one of the cards attached to the headstock. Another card shows fingering for common chords. The diagrams were small and a I couldn’t tell if the chords were named. Fortunately, there’s a wealth of resources on the web to help. Even better, Donner has its own application which you can download on either Apple or Android. This app is better formatted for a phone, but it will still work on a tablet. The app covers a number of instruments and topics. The section for ukulele includes a tuner, metronome and a number of lessons to get you started. Timely for season, it includes a few Christmas Carols.Overall, this is a very nice ukulele and I have enjoyed playing it.

Presentation matters, and the fact we could get this in pink made it an instant hit. Within minutes of getting it tuned the kiddos were looking up how to play on Youtube. This is a great introduction to Ukulele for kids!

My 7 year old daughter loves it! Having the picks gave her a chance to try them out and feel the difference. The strap isnt the best but thats ok. She loves the color and plays it regularly
