is this an original boston red sox cap?

The labels say MLB Genuine Merchandise and lists New Era's official UK address. Looks the same as the caps I saw in the Boston Red Sox's stadium shop, only cheaper!

Is it posted in a protective box so cap does not get flattened in post ?? Thanks

Will the cap change it's form if i put it in laundry. ?

Mine didn’t change form when I washed it. But fluff from other items in the wash stuck to the hat.
