Sunnyside 70532 Pure Odorless Paint Thinner, Quart

I am hyper sensitive to odors, especially the chemical type. I had a very large paint spill on my master bedroom rug that I couldn’t clean up with the usual cleaning methods. I used this product with great trepidation but I was more than anxious to clean the rug as the stain was in a very noticeable area. I could tell the product was working with the first swipe. Better yet, there was no odor at all. I was able to sleep in the room that night odor-less and free of the stain. Just so pleased with this product.

Used for cleaning my brushes doing oil painting on canvas. It works great. Now this is a LEGIT product, it is NOT a fake item as some reviews have said. The cap is hard to get off, I agree. But this happens when items are being shipped more than something sitting on a shelf, the chemicals create a slight pressure and that causes the cap to become more difficult to remove. ****To fix this or to make it easier to remove you need to use a nice set of Vice Pliers or Grip Pliers, or Plumbing pliers would be great. Push the cap down as much as possible hold in place, place the pliers around the plastic cap, get a really good grip and it will twist off. After this first time of using the product, the lid will be normal in reopening. But have no fear, this is a real product and works like magic.

"Odorless" is a lot like "whisper" quiet, it is subjective. While we both agree that this has no offensive or foul smell, my roomie can smell it some, where I all but barely can. My sense of smell is basically null after lifelong sinus disease and sinus surgery, so my take isn't really legit. Other than that, it's thinner.

Once mixed with paint it definitely smells. I parks really well, though.

Cleans oil paint brushes very well but the best part is absolutely NO ODOR. Have to clean brushes quickly or it can strip the color from the brush handle.

I’m working on painting parts of my house, and when I use soap and water it doesn’t always get all the paint out and then the bristles become hard. I poured the entire bottle because by the way, it is very small so I poured entire bottle into a bowl I put both pant brushes in it and I let it soak for 24 hours. I figured the next day all the paint would be floating in the water and the brushes would be clean. Not so. I still had to clean the brushes. I still had to use soap and water. Update: after using this product and cleaning brushes with soap and water I noticed that the brushes stayed soft instead of getting solid hard, which they usually do. Now I’m no chemist , so it could be a result of the product, it could be a result of the brush is being better quality perhaps it’s a combination or perhaps it has nothing to do with it. I really don’t know if I would recommend this to somebody. I would have to try it again to really make an informative decision so here’s my answer I can’t say it does work definitively and I can’t say it doesn’t work definitively I’ll leave it up to you to try yourself

I'm an oil painter and usually buy the more expensive odorless mineral spirits that's aimed for artists, but this is cheaper and is just as odorless as those brands. Sunnyside makes other variations of paint thinners, so just make sure it actually says "pure odorless"...
