Well made, do a great job, at a great price.
Saw these recommended on an AV forum, and when HiFi geeks recommend something, they're usually not wrong. You get plenty in the box, and they are surprisingly heavy and well constructed. Quite easy to connect to 2.5mm2 cable, although you might struggle with wider cables like 4mm2 as the entry is quite small. Once connected up they plug into the usual speaker or amp connection solidly and securely. I like that they have a reasonably clear red and black colour band that can be seen from above, to identify positive and negative cables easily. I could say that they deliver a clear, precise, and tight sound to the speaker but, at best, that is just my own ears telling me well done for my purchase. Obviously, there are much more expensive banana plugs out there, made of gold plated unicorn horn, and if that floats your boat, go for it. But these are great value, well made connectors that just get on with the job and don't get in the way of the signal pathway. Recommended.

Great design, easy to fit.
The best self-fit banana plugs I’ve found. Easy to fit and clamp the cable in a unique way. Very well made and give a great connection. Don’t seem to come loose at all over time. Why on earth supply them in a quantity of 6 pairs though?!

Good banana plugs with a unique design
I recently replaced my old 5.1 setup with an Atmos receiver and speakers that have proper speaker post terminals instead of cheap clip-type connections. This meant I needed twice as many banana plugs as I had and I decided to replace the lot in one go. The Basics plugs stood out as being reasonably priced and appearing better built than the 'Nakamichi type' plugs which rely on tiny screws to hold the cable in and clearly all come from the same Chinese factory with different labels. I was somewhat concerned about the 'crimp type' connection method on the Basics plugs as on paper it looks rather rudimentary but had no reason for worry. The connection is rock solid, has no chance of coming loose and the plugs look and feel great too - they are really heavy and beautifully engineered. They work equally well with thin and thick speaker cables. Honestly, unless you squint and read the tiny colour labels you would never guess these are 'Basics' plugs as they look and feel totally premium, I don't entirely understand Amazon's branding decision on these in honesty. Same applies for the HDMI 2.1 leads I picked up - exceptional quality and they actually meet the relevant standards reliably. As do the subwoofer cables. And two massive boxes of batteries. And some coathangers. I guess I'm a 'Basic' person now!

Decent plugs with low profile
They are quite substantial and better built than in the pictures. Particularly good is that they do not jut out at the back too much, which is a concern as heavier hifi leads , for eg. if setting up a 7.1 surround, tend to take a lot of space at the back of the amp. in particular if you then have to place the whole cabudle, in a TV cabinet. My one criticism is that you have to open and "fan" out the speaker wires over the centre spindle than tighten the top back, and it all feels a bit fiddly. But it works....so. Would recommend. Oh and the red connector should be red and not burgundy.

Excellent budget plugs
Second second set of these that I've bought now, for an increased surround sound setup with my AV Receiver. These are really easy to install, just strip away some sheath and pop on the base of the plug, then spread some copper strands and pop on the top and screw tightly, and you're done. They plug in really nicely and firmly into both the AV receiver and speakers and generally feel well built. Had no issues with sounds, or cables coming loose. Additionally they have a low profile so wont stick out too much either. Highly recommended.

So easy to fit! Should have done it sooner!
Am upgrading my amp, so wanted a more hassle free time, from having to hang upside down over the back of my rack and battle with bare wire, or to have to mess around with it pulled out and battle with the mass of cabling. I've not bothered before because I didn't want to mess about with tiny grub screws, etc, so when I discovered these I decided to give it a go. As my speaker wire is relatively new, I didn't have to trim the ends off. Putting them on was far easier than I anticipated. It took around one minute to do each one carefully. So very simple. The plugs are well made and the cables are gripped in very tightly so they won't come out if snagged on anything. The fit into the binding post is ok. Not a tight as I'd have liked but they stay in securely. Have wiggled the cables to see if it breaks connectivity but it doesn't. There is also no degradation of sound either. I cannot fault them at all. Just wish I'd done this sooner.

Good value but fundamentally flawed
Three stars because of the price, meaning they are good value. However, as others have said, the compression spring part on the end is not in constant contact with the rest of the plug (it spins around). The idea might be that once compressed it makes good contact, however my testing showed that it doesn't always. This is a fundamental flaw with otherwise well made plugs for the money. The primary purpose of plugs is to make a good connection and unfortunately the design here doesn't guarantee that.

Easy to connect to speaker and amplifier
Perfectly made to make speaker connections easier. I have been looking for soething like this for a while and these do mot disappoint. Easy to attach the cable and easy to install in amplifier and rear of speakers.

the design, fit and fnisinsh of these banana clips is perfect. starting from ease of attaching it to your wires to the fit while plugging them into the speaker and AVR terminals which is neither too snug, nor too loose. However, having attached them to both ends of my speaker wires and on playing music and movies through them, there is a very perceivable drop in sound quality. the sensitivity of the speaker has reduced which is in itself evident of transmission loss. this also has an adverse affect on the frequency range and response of the speakers while reproducing sound which now sounds muffled compared to when the speakers were connected through bare wires. I'm planning to get rid off them as the level of dip in sound quality is not worth the otherwise terrific ease of convenience that these banana plugs offer. for reference, i am running a pair of KEF Q350's for the front channels (on Sound Foundations Nemesis stands), a Q-Acoustics Concept Centre Channel and a pair of Bostons Acoustics A26's driven through a Marantz SR6013 AVR and a Marantz PM6006(as a power amp for the KEF Q350s), so the system is transparent enough to easily convey any shortfall in whichever component is introduced into the setup. Update 2020 : decided to reinstall them after all. The convenience over having to screw in bare wires clinched it. I just switched to better wires (Mogami Neglex and QED QX16) so the shortcoming may have been in the amazonbasics wire (or my head; i may very well have been imagining loss os sensitivity) - i think a pink noise test with a spectrometer with the volume knob at a constant position is in order to confirm my suspicions.

When I rewired my speakers, I used these. They work well, but they are rather loose. However they do not touch one another. So no problem there. They are super easy to use, change, etc. Recommended!

Ottimo prodotto buona produzione ,facile da installare ,peccato per il colore rosso del positivo che sembra troppo scuro e risulta difficile da distinguere dal nero del negativo, per il resto tutto ok, prezzo affare!
