We always buy these cables in quantity. This time was no exception. I've been using these grinders for 35 years. These particular cables sat here for a while because the old one in the grinder was working. Finally, the old one failed and I installed one of the new cables you supplied me. It failed almost immediately. After further inspection, the inner cable dampener is about 3 inches too short. Never seen that in all my years. The cable immediately overheated and then broke. I assure you I lubricated it properly seeing as how I've been using these grinders for many years. I broke a total of 2 and then had to find an old spare to make my grinder run. Then ordered more from another vendor and the dampener was the right length on theirs. Also, the set screw that holds the cable to the machine is much longer and was hitting the inside of the cable adaptor. Had to shorten that to make it work. Tried to put an old set screw in your cable only to find it was a different thread. I would like to return the remaining unused parts and be reimbursed even though I know it is past 30 days. These are obviously not assembled correctly.

Poor quality
I have yet to operate my forum flex shaft as I am still waiting for one more part to be delivered. That being said it seems as though as a quality build and adequate replacement. The fit and finish is good. Will update when I put it to use.Well here's my update I received the parts necessary and put the forum to use this part did not last 2 weeks and I sheared the shaft at the key. It is not a Fordom shaft and it is not a fraction of the quality and should have known better I will be purchasing direct from Fordom going forward
