Fender SuperSonic 150L Electric Guitar Strings Pure Nickel Light 9-42

I bought my first Fender Strat (Player series) after over 20 yers of playing Gibson- and medium-scale guitars. My first strat impression was that this guitar was so hard to play. It was very stiff no matter what gauge or brand of strings I bought. Then I bought these strings and finally my strat became a real joy to play. They literally transformed it into a fantastic guitar! The strings are nice and slinky, they have just the right amount of tension for me, they sound very organic and natural, and they feel really smooth and just... perfect! For this guitar this is the type of strings I've been looking for. I'm sticking to these.

Well, pure nickel applies to the wounds strings not the plain wire. The question is, are they better? Well, the sound is warmer, thicker and seem more open to intonation. The playability is excellent and having used them for some time they definitely last longer than some would suggest. In fact, to date I haven't had to change them. Unlike other makes that are nickel plated, they haven't degraded in any way and whilst I was expecting to change them by now, they remain as lively as they did when I first fitted them. Oh, I forgot to mention the price. How could anyone think that this is not amazing value for money. Try finding pure nickel in any other make and your wallet groans. Well done Fender

Great quality strings. Good play feel and sound, have lasted nicely for the last several months of play without any issues. Bought for my Fender Strat Squire. Nice lightness and tone.

Just put a medium set of these on a recently acquired G&L Legacy (strat) that I wasn't bonding with. Guitar had a brand new set of some sort of hybrids on it that included .009s on the high strings. Light strings on a strat-style guitar do nothing for me. Normally I put Ernie Ball nickels on my guitars but in this case I wanted something a bit heavier along the lines of a medium, which Ernie Ball doesn't seem to offer in a .011 size. Stumbled across these nickels by Fender in .011 size and they sound great! Totally transformed the guitar and now I feel like it responds to my playing style much better. Planning on ordering a bunch more sets of these for the rest of my collection. Can't beat the price, either. Pure nickels are the way to go.

These are the best strings I have come across in 40 years ....they are fantastic quality and have a vintage feel and sound...also they keep their tone longer...I was using ernie ____ slinky for many years but These are much better in my opinion.

These are very light gauge strings and are really easy to play and bend the notes.

I bought these because I thought they would be identical to the ones from the Fender factory, so the guitar wouldn't require a set up after I replaced the strings. They do everything they need to, and I probably would buy them again. The sound is also very good. I don't know if they are identical but are certainly the right gauge and the tremelo sits correctly.

Really not a fan of these strings. Look great with the ends the famous fender colours but didn't last well for me. I got them on a new guitar I bought and had exactly the same experience. Real shame, Fender is a premium brand but this is not a premium product.
