Perfect Artwork Light
I have a rather large painting that we hung in our living room and this little light was perfect. It was easy to hang and very easy to turn on with a small button on the side to turn on and off. It does not shine on the entire painting but it serves the purpose. The painting is of the moon over a lake and a egret, so we didn't want the entire painting illumated, but the light refects half way down, giving a moon light effect, very lovely. I am very pleased with the light!

Looks great!
Like many reviewers have mentioned, it's not the brightest light (but I was expecting that after reading the other reviews). So if you're looking for a spotlight, this isn't it. It works great for the purpose I had (I put two over a bulletin board) which was to add a third layer of lighting to a design studio amidst a very corporate office environment. It added a nice glow to the area and looks more expensive than they are (they feel quite flimsy and cheaply made...so don't let anyone feel them – LOL). Easy to hang/install and worked as promised. I would've given a full 5 stars but one of mine is constructed crooked so it sits cock-eyed. No way to fix it without breaking the neck, so...I'm probably the only one who would notice anyway.

Looks great BUT.....
This unit could fill a great need to light art work wirelessly, but, the light is not bright enough for anything but a small frame 11 X 14 or less.It looks great and is easy to install, but the off / on switch is on the light, so you will need to always have access to it. (Don't mount it very high)It will need to be taken down often to change the batteries since they will only last about 12 to 20 hours.I have lots of images and art that I want lights for, but I would not purchase another one of these.

Very good had bag with screws inside battery case
i bought this lamp to illuminate a very dark painting of a moonlight scene. It does this well, if a bit dim. HOWEVER, WHEN I INSERTED THE BATTERIES, ONLY 2 would fit in. DISASSEMBLING THE LIGHT REVEALS THAT IN THE BATTERY CASE THERE WAS A PLASTIC BAG WITH 2 SCREWS. WONT'T WORK IF YOU CANNOT GET BAG OUT. FOUND THE LADY AT THE RETURNS, CALLED BEFORE I HAD FIGURED OUT WHAT THE PROBLEM WAS, WAS QUITE HELPFUL.Have had the light on for 120 hours. Still perfect light for a very dim painting.

Description of the quality of light grossly exaggerated
I wish I would have taken the time to read the reviews on this light. Many people have said that it does not put out sufficient light to illuminate even a smaller picture. Really the picture would have to be smaller than the light to do any good. I returned the thing and then found out that the return shipping would be charged to me. Amazon needs to consider the return shipping costs into their pricing. If I have to pay $6.43 just to examine the product and find out that the editorial description was exaggerated ("super bright LED") I might be better of going down the street to Bed Bath and Beyond.

Above the dartboard
We use this light to enhance the lighting around a dartboard. Being that it is LED, the light is a little dim. The light doesn't really make it to the bottom half of the board. You might keep this in mind if you are putting it above a large picture. It looks nice, however. It is the best lighting solution that we could find.

Excellent light
I have two large Andre de Dienes Marilyn Monroe art prints in our office here at home that I wanted to illuminate at night and did not want to have to install the typical picture frame lights. So far, these have met my requirements perfectly. Pretty decent white light and the lights are dimmable which was an added bonus. I kind of use these as night lights in the office so I don't have to turn on the main light when I go in there late at night., Easy to install, and the price is excellent. They are also adjustable so you can spin each side's light bar individually to get the coverage you need on the picture. Giver them a shot, installation takes 5 minutes,

practical
I purchased two of these for paintings. I am replace the IKEA plug in ones. These are very very light weight. I don' tknow what they are made of but it is almost like aluminum or chrome . . . something light weight like that. They are very easy to install. You slide this panel off the back rectangular part. It has the two holes on it. And it also has a this little bubble level. You put that plate on the wall and mark the two holes using the level to make sure the light will be level. You put 3 AA batters in and then slide the panel back on the rectangular box. You put your screws in the wall where you marked them. Then slide the light's rectangular box down over them. The holes on the back of the light are key holes--the ones where are bigger at the bottom and narrower at the top. You put the hole over the screw and then slide the light down the wall or the screw up into the narrower part of the key hole. It fits snug against the wall then. The light itself has a rotating arm so you can position the light on your painting (or whatever you are using this for). The on/off button is on the right hand end. I wish these were solar as I have 4 more painting in a stair well . . . but it would be impractical to keep taking them down to replace batteries and turn them on and off.
