We're Going on a Leaf Hunt

Great autumn story, with a familiar repetitive rhyme.

Perfect for my grandson who has speech problems as he can actually repeat it now as I read it to him. Wonderful, easy to follow and great for the autumn/fall. Also encourages children to love and protect nature.

This was a lovely book to read ti my class (ages 5-6) before going on our autumn hunt. It mentions a number of different types of leaves which my class wanted to find on Google. We then went and searched for those around where we live. A good hook for the start of a lesson.

Great for young children. I enjoy reading it out loud which makes it a good experience for all. Lovely illustrations.

Bit Americanised but my 3yr old enjoyed the rhyme. Shame it’s such a flimsy book. The pages are almost see through

Nos ha gustado, bonitas ilustraciones y estructura repetitiva que hace que sea fácil de entender. Se puede narrar también cantado siguiendo el ritmo de la famosa canción “we are going on a bear hunt”.

YouTubeでリズミカルに読んでいる動画を見つけて、それをお手本に読む練習をしました。落ち葉を探しに出かけた時は、表紙の子どもたちの様に落ち葉を持って本の文章をリズミカルにそらんじながら、楽しそうに歩いていました。木の名前や葉の形と色を知ることが出来るし、韻を踏んだ言葉がたくさん出てきて響きからも楽しめます。ちょっとクスっとなる場面もあって、小学校の読み聞かせボランティアをした時も盛り上がりました。
