The Psychopath Whisperer: Inside the Minds of Those Without a Conscience

Riveting Read
This book is like a psychopathy encyclopaedia. It is well written, easy to follow and gives and in depth view of the neuropsychology of the psychopath. As someone with no knowledge of the makeup of a psychopath, I found it easy to understand and quite obviously written by someone at the top of their field. It was an extremely interesting read and has left me with a much better understandingof the subject and better able to tell a sociopath from a psychopath. Something that could be quite important, so we are told!! I would recommend this book.

Great book, I'd recommend
This is a very accessible book written in a narrative style focussing on Dr Kiehl career studying psychopaths and unravelling his learning on the way, it's interesting how he stumbled into his life's work. What I've particularly enjoyed about his writing is how Dr Kiehl has unfolded his learning experience as his knowledge base has grown and the book is presented from his point of knowledge at a particular place in time so there is no information overload as you grow on his journey with him. What does come across is his passion and interest for his topic and this kept me reading the book in almost one sitting

Worth reading even with the author’s ego
This book seems to serve 2 purposes 1) to boost the ego of the writer and 2) as a fascinating look at psychopaths. Don’t let point 1) put you off. Point 2) makes up the majority of the book and if you’re interested to learn more about how psychopaths work, it’s a very good book

Breathtaking
I didn't expect to be carried along at the pace of this book, nor did I expect the information to be accessible but I found the explanations to be clear without being patronising. May Mr Kiehl continue on what appears to be a lonely journey of being right. I would recommend this book to anyone who thinks it's essential reading as they enter any of the health or police careers. It will open their eyes.

Excellent read
It's an excellent read, very insightful and scientific. At first I was discouraged by the title..why would you even mention the word whisperer when this book gives you the results of years of academic work and studies. In a fun and personal way though! Highly recommended

Best book I’ve read in years
A fantastic and gripping real life story, really opens your eyes to not only what defines a Psychopath, but also the inner workings, funny moments and sometimes fear that those who work in the prison system have to deal with every day. Couldn’t recommend it more

Not Worth The Money
Iveonly given this book a 3 star rating as initially to start this book was very gripping including interviews with psychopaths, however this did not continue throughout the book, or for very long. As soon as iwas gripped in reading this book it then changed about characteristics and more that was then not even gripping enough to even want me to read any more. A bit of a disdisappointment in this book.

Completely riveting
I am a Psychology postgraduate and like many people find psychopathy fascinating. I have read Jim Fallon's book but I much preferred Kent's. Well written, easy to read and a really good balance between case studies and neuroscience.
