Perfect for making bacon!
First time making bacon, I decided to try it out with this Prague Powder after reading the reviews. It did a great job with the pork and made absolutely fantastic tasting bacon! I have been converted and will make bacon myself from now on, rather than relying on the cheap, wet supermarket slop. Looking forward to trying to cure other meats!

Tried a 4 day cure, didn't quite reach the center of the brisket, so second batch cured for 8 days and absolutely perfect.

Home made bacon
No. 1 is great for making your own bacon, keeping that nice pink colour. Really easy to do in a tub or bucket or even in a large zip lock bag. No. 2 is for making salt beef which I also use. I’d recommend anyone giving it a try.

Can lead to serious smoking problems
Great range of sizes of product & bag has incredible seal to preserve the powder Sadly I have smoked off back bacon, brisket, chicken, gammon this weekend and already have another gammon & pork belly in curing for next weekend Great to experiment with & you will find so many family friends & neighbours who are lured in by the bbq smoker Loving my home curing journey & experimenting with different joints of meats, different herbs & spices and also different woods The home cured bacon is so much better than store bought as you are not getting the shrinkage with liquid smoke and brine being pumped into the meats I urge anyone to give it a go

Follow the recipe quantities correctly and you get marvellous results
This was the first time I had brined anything and used these curing salts among other ingredients. The result was beautifully tender pastrami that everyone loved.
