It is always difficult to pick a replacement for household goods when the previous item has lasted the test of time and did its job really well, and this was the case with our previous microwave oven which took 15 years of very heavy duty use! So we had to do our research to find another suitable Microwave, that would suit our needs for "not too big, but not too small", powerful enough at 800w and with some easy to use functionality (just a few buttons with digital display and some quick access functions) and finally smart looking as our previous oven looked somewhat a bit industrial. The Russell Hobbs RHM2076B 20 Litre 800 W Black Digital Solo Microwave check all the boxes as well as being good value for money too. We have been using it flat out daily since we bought it and it is doing a great job, being very easy to use (very intuitive functions), saving us a lot of time whilst looking neat and smart on our kitchen worktop. it is nice and quiet, smooth in operation and everything feels quality like, from the buttons press to the door opening closing. It is also very easy to clean and keep clean with simple flat bold surfaces and not too many nooks and crannies, buttons, etc... Very easy to live with and I would highly recommend.

Operates quietly, cooks the food thoroughly and should work well for most people. I found some plates are too big for the inner rotating plate. A bit hard with say microwavable popcorn as it hits the sides and gets stuck, therefore, the inner rotating plate doesn't revolve. Sometimes the plate becomes unbalanced and needs to be regularly corrected. The controls are okay but a bit finicky to get the exact number of seconds you require - it becomes easier to do it in 10/30/1 min increments. The turn dial isn't very intuitive, but overall, it's a fairly good microwave.

My first Russell Hobbs RHM2076B lasted 7 years. It was so good I brought it again. Pros Design: The glossy black finish looks smart on the countertop and doesn’t take up too much space. It fits nicely in a small kitchen but still has enough room inside for a dinner plate. Easy to use controls: The digital display is clear and the buttons are straightforward. I don’t often use the cook menus, I don’t find them that reliable. Cleaning: The interior wipes down quickly, and the glass turntable lifts out for a proper wash. Cons: • The mirrored door looks good but shows fingerprints easily, so it needs regular wiping. • The beeping at the end of a cycle is a bit loud and continues until you open the door, which some might find annoying. • It’s not the most powerful microwave at 800W, so larger portions sometimes need a little extra time compared to a 900W+ model. Verdict: If you want a reasonably priced, reliable and good value, this microwave is the one!

Good microwave, love that the handle is secure as other microwaves when you pull the handle the microwave moves so this is sturdy, no complaints looks sleek (not cheap looking)

Love this, big enough for a dinner plate, controls are easy to use and its heavy enough to not skid across the bench top. Seams to be very good quality and the power is perfect for me.

It heats food well with its 800W power and has a good-sized capacity that fits a standard dinner plate comfortably. The auto defrost function works efficiently, and the timer and clock functions are a nice touch. The buttons are also a nice design and very simple to use. Cleaning is also easy, thanks to the wipeable interior and removable, dishwasher-safe turntable. The only reason for dropping one star is that the door/sides can show smudges easily. But overall, it's a solid, reliable microwave that offers great value for money.
