Great for the intended purpose.

I have bought this multiple times and will always return to it. It provides plenty of substrate at a great price! I mix mine with top soil and sand which helps hold moisture for fossorial tarantulas and when dried out provides some stability for loose soil.

My false tomato frogs live happily in this substrate. Bit messy to reconstitute but worth it for the condensed size. Holds water well, nice and squishy for them to dig themselves into. Kermit is happily croaking away, we may have some little ‘uns on the way!

A fine product. Quite a lot more fibres in it than I expected, certainly from the product we removed from the tank. But it’s settled down a bit and the inhabitants don’t seem to care.

Bought to mix in with other substrates. Make sure you let it absorb water before attempting to break up, overwise you're wasting your time and energy.

This product used to be fantastic - would expand to a good amount of soil and had less sand in it than other brands. Lately it has been awful. The "bricks" refuse to expand (like dampness had got in to them prior to use and caused them to set) - even tried hot water. The resultant amount of soil is also much less because they don't expand as they should and you have to break up the soil yourself after an hour or so as nothing happens otherwise. At first I thought it was a faulty one but it's been happening a lot. I'm changing brands again.

Good substrate at a good price Many people recommend it for tarantulas and now so do I! It doesn't smell and my tarantulas don't seem to complain haha. It comes in exactly as show in the pictures. The glue that keeps the label to the bricks is annoying to remove. I put in in a large plastic container and pour hot water on it for it to expand, it takes a fewer days for it to dry out so you might want to consider buying loose substrate in a bag if you're in a hurry. Overall i really like it, and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a tarantula substrate

A little goes a long way I won’t have to purchase for a while now great product

I got 2 of the 3x 8 quarts. Theres a lot more than I thought there'd be once hydrated. Give me 3-4 inches in my partner's 76 gallon snake tank. The snake loves it too. Good size for price. It doesn't smell like anything other than dirt ans is great quality soil. Easy to rehydrate but takes some elbow grease bc it doesn't just melt into the water, tou do have to use your hands to break it apart.

Un produit top pour un terrarium tropical. Il m'a permis de créer un sol pour un terrarium de 60x45x45 en utilisant seulement un bloc. Très facile à mettre en place, très compact pour le rangement, très pratique. Je recommande ce produit qui a un très bon rapport qualité prix !
