Don't believe the bad reviews, Awesome cable
I felt compelled to write this review as there were quite a few negative reviews that are all unfounded IMO. I got the Sennheiser HD599 SE for half price on cyber Monday, what a deal. The supplied cable that came with them was junk it felt terrible and was caught in this awful folded style from packaging. I wanted to upgrade and get a cable the headphones deserved and use the balanced 2.5mm output on my Astell & Kern player. The cable is great, the connectors are perfect, it was a much needed upgrade. The cable does arrive a bit stiff as all new things are, so I followed one gentleman's advice from a review. I gently pushed all the braids in towards each other from end to end and then gently pulled it taunt. This made an instant improvement in the feel of the cable. So those reviews were off, the cable sounds great so that guy was off and there is no cable noise so again these negative reviews almost had me not buy it. I'm very glad I decided too the cable is awesome and the 2.5mm balanced out is a whole new world.

Sturdy yet light weight small package that delivers
My only complaint is that the plastic outer shell of the cable allows transfer of noises to enter the headphones like if you touch the cable with your fingers and or the cable touches objects near where you have it plugged in. An outer cloth jacket may completely eliminate this. The cable is made of a durable hard plastic, though perhaps needs some sort of wrap on the exterior. In some cases the cable can come in contact with the rest of the cable and that can be heard as well, its not electronic distortion btw. Its physical noise of what ever is toughing the cable and runs up through and into the headphones which can be heard unless nothing at all touches the cable. Ill be looking for some sort of wrap to go on the outside of it.

Decent for the price, feels cheap though
Decent cable over all for the price, but the plastic coating makes it very stiff, and the cable wants to constantly be in your way

This is an awesome cable
Very well made. The locking feature is a nice touch. Very high end looking. But this is not for looking at. It sounds superb with my Sennheiser 599s. I have two DACs that have balanced outputs, and both benefit from this cable - one (HIDIZS S9) much more than the other (Fosi HD3).Pros:the soundwell-madeattractiveCons:This is a stiffer cable. I experienced what one reviewer commented on - some mechanical sounds when it's banged about. But it's not nearly as noticeable to me and I am able to use the cord while walking. Not working out, but I don't have to stay still to enjoy it.I can enthusiastically recommend this to those needing a 2.5 male to 2.5 male balanced headphone cable.

No Sound
I apologize for the delay in my post. I have been busy with so many other things involving snow during this Minnesota winter.I had modest hopes for better sound quality with this cable. Instead, there is no sound. I believe I have uncovered the problem and have attached photos that may help the manufacturer and others. The first photo depicts an open between the tip of one end of the cable and the tip of the other end of the cable. I am pretty sure there should be continuity here. This should be the Left channel. The second photo depicts an open between the 3rd ring of one end of the cable and the 3rd ring of the other end of the cable. I am pretty sure there should be a connection here. This should be the ground channel. The third photo depicts a wonderful connection between the tip of one end of the cable and the base of the other end of the cable. I am pretty sure the Left channel on one end of the cable is connected to the ground of the other end of the cable. All of the individual rings on one cable end have continuity with individual rings on the other end of the cable. The individual 2nd rings actually match !! But, the ground is crossed :>( . Alas, no sound.

Must Have
Cable is great affordable and does not give any noise when it touch on surfaces.. The cable length is exactly on my preference.. 👍Sound quality it gives a bit more of clarity clean sound volume power. Paired it with qudelix 5k - Poweramp music player..Just loving its new color and flavor to my music.

Good while it lasted.
Pro- It is a balance cableIt is nice-lookingThe actual cable is durableCon- This was plugged into my FiiO Q5 when it dropped from table height and broke. The tip just snapped off and now that is $33 down the drain unless there is some simple way to replace the tip. It's pretty stiff and can be annoying when trying to manipulate the cable.Edit- I purchased a replacement tip here on Amazon for about 6-8 bucks and soldered the wires. It looks new and works again. Just beware.

Great Replacement (+ Balanced) Cable for the Koss KPH40!
I use these pretty much exclusively with an Earstudio ES100, can't say if there is an upgrade in sound quality beyond the usual balanced stuff, but it works! This is my 2nd cable of this type (Hifiman/Focal/Meze), and I can say it's pretty microphonic, but not with the Koss due to the connector.
