Joseph Joseph BarWise Easy-Action Winding Corkscrew - Blue

Bought one for my 88 year old dad and then got one for myself. The rotating action requires no effort at all and the cork is easily removed by reversing the twist. The built in cutter is less fussy than a separate one. Overall it is genuinely zero effort even on tight corks, and just plain works. It all folds up into no space at all and there are no extra bits to lose. Seems pretty solid and with few moving parts should last OK. Getting the idea that you have to push the thing down all the way over on the neck of the bottle takes a moment, but is pretty obvious really.

I really don't know how I ever managed without owning one of these fantastic corkscrews. I have quite bad arthritis in one of my hands, and using a traditional corkscrew was getting almost impossible for me. This one is a nice sturdy design and so easy to use without needing any muscle-power or dexterity at all. Just slip the outside body of the corkscrew all the way down onto the neck of the wine bottle, lightly squeeze the sides of the body against your bottle neck, then turn the upper screw clockwise until the cork comes out, and lift whole thing off. Finally, lightly squeezing the side of the implement, turn the upper screw anti-clockwise to remove the screw from the cork. Easy-peasy, no mess, no hassle, takes about 30 seconds max. Cannot recommend this highly enough.

Having bought one for my son-in-law who loved it I had been hoping to find another genuine one at a bargain price but decided to get this anyway as it is actually worth the full price. Makes opening bottles so easy. It has a foil cutter built in that is excellent and then when you use the corkscrew it is effortless. Next Christmas I’ll be buying more as gifts so that should tell you how impressed we are with it.

I bought this to replace our old corkscrew (not the same make) which had broken after quite a few years service. This one seems very simple and indeed you just put it over the bottle top, after removing the top plastic stuff of course, and turn the handle clockwise. It goes into the cork and then pulls it out. So simple. It doesn't seem very sturdy so I hope it lasts as long as the old one.

I bought this about 6 weeks ago, but only had cause to use it a few days ago...so many screw top wines! Didn't remember how exactly to use it, but it worked fine. I watched a Youtube video on it tonight and wow, what an eye opener, the foil cutter and where to place the thing. I would recommend this to anyone, especially those who have no strength in their hands like me (osteoarthritis). Fabulous bit of kit and nice and compact in the cutlery drawer.

Trust Joseph Joseph to come up with a design that is easy to use and doesn't require any strength, even releases the cork at the end. EDIT: after only 2 months the screw part bent and now the whole thing is useless, had to bin it. I'm very disappointed.

Easy to open a bottle and includes a foil cutter at the base. The cork screw does go all the way through the cork, but so far I have not noticed any cork bits in my wine. I would recommend this based on the ease of use and simplistic design.

Bought as wanted an easy tool that puts less strain on hands / wrists - definitely does the job in that regard! Much less impact and effort than traditional ones. Looks nice - usual JJ aesthetic! Seems good quality also.

que cualquiera que tenia yo hasta ahora. Tenia uno parecido pero con 4 patas; una rompió y el sacacorchos para tirar. Justo por esa razón me compre este; es muy fácil de sacar los corchos aunque esta atascadas. Lo único que tienes que procurar es, que el sacacorchos se queda en su sitio una vez que empezaste sacar el corcho. Aunque tiene las patas bastante gordos que no van a romper fácil. Y una cosa que tiene es el cortador para cortar los tapa-corchos de los botellas de vino. Yo estoy contenta y a punto de comprarme otro....

Je suis épatée par la facilité à se servir de ce tire bouchon. J'avais un mal fou pour enlever certain bouchon surtout en plastic. Eh bien là c'est vraiment très facile ! En plus ce tire bouchon me donne l'impression d'être très solide. Vraiment contente de cet achat .
