it is my fault for not paying attention.i typed in chain nets and this came up too.it's made out of plastic. (they call it resin)my grandson loves it and that's what it's for.

Awesome replacement net for our lakeside hoop
The plastic net is perfect for our hoop attached to the dock, holds up well with the amount of water and keeps its structure compared to the nylon net. Clips on super easy too.
