Just the right size to fit into my bag.
I bought this to take shopping, it`s an ideal size & I love the unusual shape that is easy to hold when shopping. What is great about it is that I`m unlikely to lose it indoors as it has a magnet on the back so it can be kept on the fridge. My only problem with it is that there was no leaflet, the writing on the packaging was very small. Even with my reading glasses on it was difficult to read. I just about managed to read that it had a replaceable battery but if doesn`t tell you where the battery comparment is. Normally it is obvious ut in this case I get the impression that I might have to remove the face of the calculator to find the battery. It looks as if it has about 8 very small screws, that`s the only place that I could work out.I`ve tried Hewlett Packard`s website but they have no information at all on their websites in the USA & UK. In the UK they`d never heard of it. I`m not happy with HP as you can imagine.

It's a magnetic calculator...
Apart from being magnetic, this calculator has only one unusual feature: the front plate is held to the back plate with ten visible screws. This makes it look a bit 'industrial' perhaps, but serves no other purpose. Otherwise Hewlett Packard have hardly pushed the boat out, and this works like any basic calculator made in the last 30 years. There's no square root (but then, when did you last want to know the square root of anything?) or even a sign change key, and the memory is the inferior three-key type. Most equivalent calculators have time or tax calculations nowadays, but this doesn't. I think it would be better if it was solar powered too.Because the blurb draws your attention to the lanyard attachment, I expected it to be smaller than it is. I can't imagine anyone attaching a strap to this. So, overall, a bit underwhelming, unless the magnetic strip is something that will make a difference for you. If not, I'd look elsewhere for a small calculator.

HP calculator
Just received this calculator. I like the look and feel of it.A big drawback in the future could be getting to the battery compartment. Can someone post a review explaining just how one does change the battery, from previous reviews that would be very useful to several of us.TIA.

Unusual Calculator
A neat and well made calculator. My only reservation is that there is no square root button and it is hard to see how to change the battery. But four stars for the magnetic back and imaginative design.
