A small price for tranquillity!
I cannot remember ever purchasing an item so small and so modestly priced that has given me such great satisfaction. After years of torment from unsolicited phone calls originating (mainly) from beyond these shores and having to speak to a succession of polite Asian ladies and gentlemen (only doing their job) using such improbable names as Craig, Richard and Samantha, I can now relax, undisturbed. I have even been able to cancel the Anger Management Course. I was originally interested in the BT6500 phone, which has received considerable publicity recently, but a bit of research and review reading steered me to the CPR Call Blocker, which does everything claimed for it in a highly efficient unfussy way. I had already purchased a new pair of phones and arranged for 'Caller ID' on my phone line so it only took a few minutes to insert the CPR Call blocker in-between the phone point and the phone itself, after which I secured it with sticky pads in an easily accessible location near the phone base unit. The CPR unit is surprisingly small and uncomplicated; the only moveable part being the (magic) button on top, which enables the 'zapping' (permanently) of unwanted, unsolicited callers. It draws its power from the phone line itself. After I had connected it up I followed the recommendation to 'test' it by activating the phone ( pressing the green phone symbol), which should have produced red lights on the unit - but none appeared. I tried changing the connection to the 'Line 2' and 'Tel 2' (Input/output ) sockets and made sure the connectors were firmly implanted and all was well. The lights appeared when 'tested' and always appear when the phone is in use. The unit incorporates details of some 500 worst offenders in the nuisance call environment in its memory, which is a wonderful screening tool and automatically blocks them. The phone doesn't even ring! In practise some 90% of our nuisance calls stopped instantaneously and it proved simple to 'zap' any calls that got through the net. All you do is listen to the caller briefly then press the button on top of the unit before hanging up, which adds the caller's number to the blocked list. This method does not work with callers who do not have 'caller ID' but it is easy to input a short code (via the phone handset) which applies a blanket block on all calls where there is no caller ID. Compared with the bad old days our house is now eerily quiet and nuisance phone calls are very much a thing of the past. What bliss! Thanks to the CPR Call blocker. Buy one today - you wont regret it!

A godsend in a small package that does the job without fuss or complication.
This little device is very small and easy to setup and use. I am using it in conjunction with a series of panasonic DECT phones and I must say that the setup was absolutely simple. I initially thought the unit wasn't working since no lights appeared when I first attached the cables. You simply remove the phone cable from the back of your main phone, plug it into the left hand side (in either Line 1 or 2) then using the very short cable provided you connect TEL 1 or 2 to the back of your phone unit. In my case nothing happened (which is exactly what is supposed to happen). I assumed there would be some lights to show it was active. However, as soon as you lift the receiver the 2 red lights activate. This effectively shows you have an active signal going through it.To operate, you simply wait until you get an annoying call, then whilst on the call you press the BLOCK NOW button on the main unit then hang up. Hey Presto! no more nuisance calls from that number. If you aren't near this or are in another part of the house then you can simply dial **7#numbertoblock# or if you want to block the last caller it's **2#*2#. You could easily program these into your phones memory for easier recall but I prefer to keep it manual just in case someone accidentally calls that number and blocks your mother or your significant other, in which case you'll need this instead: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Authentic-RDX-Advance-Protector-Armour/dp/B004X6Z00C/ref=sr_1_16?ie=UTF8&qid=1422984147&sr=8-16&keywords=body+armourThe 1200 in the units name basically means that you get 1000 custom entries plus 200 factory programmed entries. That's definitely more than you'll need especially since you can block area codes as well. At the time of this review, the latest version is the 108 model, however for UK buyers the 106/107 are both as good with the same capacity as this. I believe the enhancements for the later models are purely for US customers. To my mind this unit is a godsend that provides a bit of peace and quiet from those annoying nuisance callers who seem to be getting more and more active these days.

Works as Advertised. End all those unwanted calls.
Simple and Short: This device works great. After set-up, programming a few numbers in and we have silence in the house from all the solicitors and unwanted callers. If you are like me, and can't stand all these types of calls, this is the device for you.Longer: After registering with the Do Not Call Registry, the unsolicited calls came in more than ever! You know them all. The last straw was one day, we got 9 robo calls from the same number in the same day.We have a Panasonic Dect 6.0 and phone service provided via cable company (voip). The phone had 30 slots for entering blocked numbers and that worked well. But, it ran out of space and the phone rang once, even for blocked numbers. About once per month, I would have to free up more space by deleting some blocked numbers. Frustrating to manage. We tried an expensive phone blocker a year ago, but it just would not work for us. Then after the 9 robo calls, I found this one on Amazon and read the reviews. Like you, I read a bunch of the reviews to see if this would this work....it was made in the UK....would it work on US phones....what about a VOIP system....would my caller ID work on it? But seeing that the company rep answered many of these questions and complaints in the reviews, we made the buy decision.Like most men, I thought I could just hook it up without reading instructions. Wrong. I had the lines mixed and it would not work. Read the directions and fixed that. Read further and entered some numbers to block and stopped the anonymous callers. When doing this, you get a few beeps and you don't know if it worked. And once plugged in, there is no light on it....it looks dead....but it is not. So, I was a bit skeptical, at first. From the first day, we noticed almost no incoming solicitor/unwanted calls (maybe blocked from one of those pre-programmed spam numbers). Family calls, work, etc. all came through...no problem. One day I got a call from "697" number. It rang thru, but I hit the Block Now button and gone. Never got another call from that number. Also, for the first few days, a number I entered to block with a 512 area code came thru (caught by the Dect phone blocker, however). I re-entered the number again to make sure that I entered it correctly. Now, nothing from this number comes through to the phone.Nothing appears on my phone call log. The only way I know this device is working is that our cable provider gives us a caller ID on the TV screen when someone calls (while we are watching TV). Saw that famous 512 number on the TV screen, no ring and nothing on call log. Last night, it called four times. No nothing on a ring.....Bam!Some of our local spam callers, change up the numbers to try to outwit call a blocker. But, I know i can just hit the Block Now button and gone. This device works as advertised. When you have it hooked up, as I said above, it looks dead (e.g. no lights on)....but it is active and working. As others had indicated, we now have silence in the home from these unwanted calls. I check the phone call logs and don't even see these numbers listed. It works!

Soddisfatto al 100%
Prodotto eccellente!
