Nema 17 2 Phase 4-wire Stepper Motor 1.8 Degree for 3D Printer (42 x 42 x 34mm)

First impressions are that this is a solid and well-engineered stepper at a decent price. It includes connectors and cables so will plug straight in to various motor driver boards. I'm using it with an A4988 driver to provide current limiting and it seems to work well. I have't yet used it for extended period so can't comment on its lifespan or reliability.

the thread on my wanhao i3 extruder stepper had gone so bought this to replace it. It's a little bit smaller but did fit. Was a pain to wire up as the cables were different to the one already on my printer. Had to cut and work out the 2 poles and solder the groups up. Took a while but it's working ok now.

I bought this as I had two stepper motors that ran in opposite directions with the same inputs. So, I bought this one, so that I'd end up with a pair which ran together. This motor ran the same direction as the original stepper that I was doubling up, Which is perfect for my needs.

I should have tested it before cutting the wires! One coil set had an almost direct short and on opening it up found the coils had clearly been overheated to the point the enamel had melted!

I've not yet fully tested this motor, but I'm satisfied with it so far.

Turned up quick as ever on the prime delivery. Took a chance with this to replace the one on my ciclop 3d scanner, and it works. Just unplugged my old one, had to change where each colour wire went, but works a treat!

Not as big as I thought but this was my fault. This stepper motor is great and does what I need it to. It also stays cool.

Nice good motor , Cheap , time will tell on its longevity.
