Not just for gamers
I've been looking for a replacement for my ancient Microsoft Laser 6000, which served me faithfully for about 6 years of CAD work, and the Perixx seemed like an ideal candidate: cheap, plenty of buttons, and adjustable sensitivity.Good:Buttons! Although the descriptions states there are 11 buttons on the mouse, there are really only 4 bindable extra buttons that you'll actually use. The rest of that number is filled out with the horizontal wheel clicks and DPI adjustment. Still, 4 is plenty: copy and paste take up two, while the other two are bound to command macros for AutoCAD.Setting up the macros and buttons was surprisingly painless. The software is simple to use and pretty full-featured. It's at least as good as the Razer software that came with the Deathadder I use at home. It gives you the option to save profiles for different applications and games, and has a wealth of options for mouse sensitivity and button bindings. There's also, fortunately, an option to turn off the logo LED entirely. The build quality isn't exactly luxurious, but it's solid and better than I expected. The mousewheel has a meaty action and the various buttons have just the right amount of resistance. The package includes a set of weights in a cute tin. I haven't used them yet, since the mouse feels about the right weight without any extra added.Price - mice of equivalent or even less quality can cost over £40, so the Perixx is a bargain.Mediocre:Opening the compartment for the weights on the bottom is a bit tricky, though I don't see that as much of an issue since I'm not really interested in using them, anyway.A warning to those with small hands: this a big mouse. It's almost twice as big as the one I was using before and I've had to change my grip to accommodate it. This is offset by the shape, which is actually very comfortable. As a result of the contoured shape, left handers will find it difficult to use, unfortunately.Bad:Nothing, really. I'm impressed and the mouse lives up to the multitudes of 5 star reviews that preceded this one.

Great Look and Feel, but left feeling a little skeptical about how long it could last.
It's a good mouse, but in my books it's also expensive for one. P.S. I was torn between three and four stars.Pros:- The sensor is accurate, I've had no issues with it.- The 11 buttons, and multiple profiles, is more than enough.- Comfortable for palm and fingertip grips, can't speak for the claw as I personally don't use it.- Looks badass.- Weight-tuning is a nice touch.- Feels weighty and sturdy.- Braided cable (designed to be less rigid).- Glides flawlessly. (Razer Goliathus Control Mouse Pad).- Assigning forward and back buttons to reload/interact in game is nice.Cons:- Had it about two weeks, but the "rubberized coating" already looks a little worn on the left click. Not terribly, and I do use it A LOT, but I would still expect it to last at least a little longer for the price.- The changing lights is a bit of a gimmick. There's a lot of colours, and the button on the right side of the mouse cycles through three main colours (Blue, red, green), but considering the DPI indicator lights on the left are permanently blue, I personally think it looks stupid in any colour other than blue. Each to their own though.- For me, two of the buttons are practically redundant in-game. The profiles seem to change very little for me. I attempted to assign copy to the thumb click, and paste to the right-side button for a "browsing profile" but it doesn't seem to change anything as the right-side click still cycles through the colours ans thumb still double clicks. Assigning key binds in the actual game also only picks up on the forward and back side-buttons too. The thumb and right-side click buttons do nothing and are not recognised by any software I've tried so far.- The braided cable is still hella-stiff after two weeks. It's certainly not bad, but for £25 I could have purchased a logitech g400, or ten cheap mouses, both of which seem to be more appropriately priced for it's price-point. I took a risk on this because it looked nice and the reviews read well, but I certainly won't again.

Great gaming mouse
As you can probably see from many other reviews here, this mouse is very good. It came quickly and packaged well!I bought this mouse for a new gaming computer, along side a Perixx keyboard. I am exceptionally impressed with the quality of this company and at a loss to why they do not charge more!Pro'sErgonomically this mouse is a dream, it fits my hand perfectly. I have never struggled or found myself exerting a lot of energy to use it for extended periods of time.It has a braided cable...which is by no means a necessity but a nice little luxury, especially at this price! It has very good features, switchable dpi and 11 programable buttons etc.It also comes with optional weights to insert into the mouse for personal preference and a CD with the software on, which is very easy to use and makes it very easy to customise the mouse.Con'sThere really aren't man, if any problems with this mouse that I have experienced.I would say, as one thing to consider, the cable isn't as long as many other mouses I have used before, but thats not to say its short though! Depending on the distance from your computer to your desk you may have a problem but thats the same with any appliance right? Definitely recommend this mouse!
