It works but the lower range (which is where you will usually be monitoring on a reef tank) is quite difficult to distinguish.

I was way too slow to realise that my phosphate levels were ridiculously high in my tank, to the extent that it was killing my inverts. But as with all of these test kits the colour comparison chart does not accurately match the test result. It's like the chart colour is like a block from a kids paint set but the water in the test result is when a wet brush has been rubbed on that paint block then painted onto white paper. I wish salifert would make the charts more realistic.
