Much better charger and a lot cheaper than DeWalt
I was extremely skeptical about this charger when I purchased it but I am pleased to say that this thing is great!My original DeWalt charger died after very few actual charges and it was never able to charge one of my extra DeWalt 20V max batteries that I had purchased new. I assumed at the time that the battery was defective. After seeing how much DeWalt was trying to extort me for the exact replacement I decided to take my chances on this off brand. All I can say is wow! I am super glad I bought this one! This charger was 1/3 of the price of the DeWalt and more importantly this one actually works. A LOT better than the DeWalt one ever did. After charging the dead battery in my drill that started this ordeal I tried to charge the battery that had never been able to be charged since brand new - the one that I thought was defective. Sure enough this charger charged it right up! It took almost 2 hours but I am not complaining since it was a high capacity 5Ah battery and had been sitting completely dead for well over a year. And just as icing on the cake this charger fits in my drill kit case where the original charger lived except it doesn't interfere with the lid like the old one did.In summary:Buy this charger. It is great!* Handles universal voltage (unlike DeWalt)* You can tell approximately how far along in the charging cycle it is (unlike DeWalt)* Is reasonably priced and a great value (unlike DeWalt)* Isn't super temperamental when it comes to low battery charge levels (unlike DeWalt)* Can happily charge batteries that DeWalt charger refuses to try to chargeCons: None.

Replacement charger
When you have older tools and lose the chargers, you are lost. However, this one is a true replacement and now I don't have to purchase yet another tool. Great value.
