Photographic Patton History Like No Other.
Lets face it, General George S. Patton, Whether you like him or not, is regarded as the greatest American battlefield commander of WW-2, and certainly goes down in military history as one of the most famous warriors of any generation. Russ Rodgers has compiled a lavishly illustrated large format coffee table book that will make any military historian or student of WW-2, proud to own this book. This 200 page plus collection of photo's, captures General Patton during every phase of his life, with the lions share of course depicting his pivitol role in WW-2. Some of these photo's have obviously been seen before, but many prized never before seen photo's are seen for the first time. There is little text throughout, with the exception of a few small paragraphs, before each of the four chapters. Each photo however, is explained, and more importantly, Mr. Rodgers identify's almost every soldier that is with Patton in the photo's, well known or not. Just a fabulous photographic collection of Patton history, layed out in chronilogical order. Keep in mind, that this is only a photographic history, and not a biography loaded with copious amounts of information, that is easlily found in the many available Patton biographies that are currently available. I recommend Martin Blumenson's "The Patton Papers", Vol-1 and Vol-2, and Carlos D'este's "Patton A Genious For War", if you are looking for a detailed read on the subject of Patton. As a World War Two buff, I regard this Photograhic history as one of the finest books that I own, and is worthy of any military library.

Great Gift for a Patton Fan
I gave this to a family member who is a serious Patton fan. He loved it. He went through every page of the book (which took awhile) as soon as I gave it to him, without stopping. The book (binding) seems to be of good quality as are the photos.
