Good conversation starter
Bought this for children that I work with - excellent "getting to know you" conversation starters.

Non-shaming item. You cannot be wrong with the answer.
Great for using with older children - from around secondary school age, to open up discussion around our ideas and the basis of them.

Good help
These are good but I had to go through the cards as they are not suitable for all ages and don't relate to all children that I work with but it got them talking and expanding on their feelings as they say more that just answer the question.

Could look better
I was expecting the choice cards to be bigger and to fill the jar,I must admit. I was disappointed when I saw it, but the actual choices are quite good, some are just strange, but some are very worthwhile.

Expensive but Useful
Expensive and cards smaller than imagined but the children who have used it in therapy have found it helpful

very simple and easy
These can be used while sitting around the kitchen table, so very practical and makes powerful parenting more like a game to the kids

I love these card sets and use them with teens who I see in therapy. The teens really enjoy talking about the choices they would make under the situations described on the cards, and it is a very nonthreatening way to build rapport with the teens, many of whom do not want to be there in the first place. By the end the session, they are asking for another appointment. I also use the card to assess the value systems, belief systems, behaviors, problem solving, impulse control, and personality of the teens. I love using these card because I do not sound like a drill sargent or interrogator throwing a lot of questions at reluctant teenagers. Excellent tool to build rapport wit.

A great classroom tool for B1
These are not only fun, but also perfect for my B1 class to practice their preference grammar point! For example: “if you had to choose between never being able to stand up for yourself or never knowing when to back down, which would you choose?” - “I would rather never know when to back down than never be able to stand up for myself.” And “if you had to choose between doing a cheer every time someone compliments you or hitting the door frame every time you walk through, which would you choose?” - “I prefer hitting door frames to cheering” ;-)
