Great book for christian and people who want to get closer to the word of God .

One of the best books I have read in a long time! Don’t be distracted by the title, I think this is such a powerful book for both men and women. Opens up a way of reading the bible that is simple, and yet with such depth. Since starting to follow her step by step methods, such revelation of the word of God has followed! Amazing! Plus her writing style and tone is a joy to read, such authenticity, wisdom and humour. If you think you struggle to read the bible, even more reason to read this!

This book is brilliant on many levels, and I would recommend Christian women read it even if they haven't been called to be a teacher. As a teacher of women, it will remind you of your responsibility to rightly divide the Word of truth, and as a student it will encourage you to be discerning of the biblical integrity of the teaching you're sitting under. I highly recommend JW's podcasts too.

Although it may sound basic here and there this book is actually clearly intended to be a great help at digging for a solid foundation. Jen Wilkin is clearly a gifted teacher who repeats for emphasis and with the need of building a whole picture in the readers' minds. Being a Christian for long I have often neglected important aspects of Bible study.. to my own detriment. Read this book and answer the questions the author poses to you. There are lots of takeaways.

Meine Frau las das Buch mit großer Begeisterung! Es gibt das Buch zwar nun auch auf Deutsch, aber wer einigermaßen im Englisch fit, sei es im Original ans Herz gelegt! Bibellesen mit Tiefgang und einfacher Struktur! Klasse! Das Buch kann man allein lesen oder auch als Gruppe durcharbeiten. Auch die Kürze fällt positiv auf!

Jen Wilkens beautifully illustrates a methodolgy of how to read scripture, in a meaningful and deeper way. The way she incorporates her own experience, and explains each piece of how and why to read God's word is thoughtfully laid out, and easy to grasp. Albeit a short book, it is VERY meaty. If you are a truth seeker, or someone struggling with how to get to know God, or simply would like to read scripture in a more meaningful way, this book is a must read!
