superb ink
this is one of the products where you get what it says on the tin! Oxblood ink is probably the closest colour you will get to writing in blood without draining your arm! ive used this ink through a couple of Jinhao fountain pens and a Pilot Parallel and it has performed perfectly all the time, with smooth flow, good cleaning and great colour. The ink starts as a deep, dark red with a hint of brown, and will dry into deep red wine coloured burgundy. Shading isnt great unless youre using a very wide nib and good paper but you can get some. There is no sheen to the ink and you will see markedly differing drying colours depending on your choice of paper. this is a superb ink; in a colour that might not suit everyone but will certainly give a richness to your writing or calligraphy

Lovely ink - bought a bigger bottle this time
Ancient Copper has been the go-to ink in my fountain pen for day-to-day journalling and notes for a year or two. Vibrant and warm colour, feels serious and not too twee, whilst being a bit different from the normal dull blues and blacks. Manages to avoid being anywhere close to the sort of red which your teachers used to correct your arithmetic and spelling. Diamine inks always seem to flow and dry nicely. Lovely to write on smooth clairfontaine paper.

Fabulous ink
Fantastic ink that flows well and stays wet in the pen yet dries reasonably quickly on the page. Incredible range of colours - more than 25 each in blues, greens and reds plus many more. Highly recommended.

Won't improve your handwriting
Eclipse is a very very dark purple. It looks black at first, but if you compare it to true black, it's obviously not. Off-black. I love it. It's sufficiently black to almost be mistaken for it, but when you look back in your notes it's a bit softer on the eye. The ink flows well, dries well. Smudges very well if you are not careful. To be honest, I am careful and I still manage to smudge. I've had it about a year. I have given up writing with ballpoints ... even ballpoints that flash or have a USB connector. Fountain Pen Power for me and this bottle still has plenty of life left even after a year. The bottle is lovely glass, the label is a lovely label and the ink is a lovely cheeky little number. I wrote this about my ink: Kind composition A purple, sticky ink bleeds above the pencil

Not as red as the swatch suggests
Diamine is a British manufacture of fountain pen inks, the more accessible including about 30 ink colours and one independent site shows individual colour swatches, actual written examples and individual comments on the entire range. All are available in standard 80ml bottles and 30 ml 'samplers' and several also in cartridges in the 'International Standard' format suited to several US and European brands of fountain pen and especially most of Chinese and Japanese origin; the quality of ink and the amount filled per cartridge is far superior to the oriental equivalents. The inks are generally easy-flowing although there is slight variation among individual colours and colour groups and generally strong in tone although some of the lighter colours have transparency, as does this to a lesser degree but the on-line swatches show this to be rather more red in tone than personal use with nibs of various gradings would suggest. It is a true purple-brown with no distinct red tonality even after several days' allowed for 'curing'. Although the ink is undoubtedly top-quality, the disparity in tone is a personal disappointment, hence the minor down-marking but it is not intended to reflect as a criticism.

Oxblood — Amazing ink.
This ink is absolutely amazing. It's a quite deep shade of red, and for the most part is accurate to what is presented in the listing (although, it will be deeper when recently refilled and if you tighten your converter to bring the ink closer to the nib—but these go for all coloured ink). As far as I can see there is no shading whatsoever, which provides a very monotone and constant colour. The bottle is absolutely beautiful, and has a very vintage style. It feels like a bottle of ink from the 1900s. Overall, beautiful ink and bottle. Thoroughly recommend it.

Beautiful rich colour
I use this beautiful, opulent coloured ink in a Parket Sonnet fountain pen. Very satisfying, and a lovely departure from the black ink with which I usually fill my pen.

Stunning colour
It is fountain pen ink so not meant to be water resistant and that's another reason I love it, aside from the colour, not only do I use it in my fountain pens I also use it for painting and with the effect of water

Runs a little on the wetter side, good lubrication even on the scratchy Lamy EF nibs. But the color is just lovely. The price should be lower. Actual price is probably a fifth of what is listed here.
