Easy to setup and share
Firstly you need to connect the unit and wait for the green light and then leave it alone for an hour. It automatically updates the firmware and you don't have full functionality until this is done. Once done you have full control through the Meraki Go app. Very simple to set up a network and a guest network and then to monitor their use. No license fees to pay unlike many other access points which is probably why it's slightly dearer than some rivals. Easy to share admin rights with someone else which was great for me as a landlord as I can access the unit as can the tenant. And it's Meraki so it should be stable and last.

Probably very good when compatible
I wanted to purchase this access point along with the security router to get rid of some older hardware, however, unfortunately, very of the features that should be compatible with my set up or not because the documentation is wrong therefore because the security router does not work, I’ve had to send the access point back at the same timeHowever, with my set up, it was not set up in minutes as I’m sure when you can set it up in minutes they’re talking about in the UK cable installations or the Internet in your house can obtain a DHCP addressTherefore, when they say set up in minutes, just remember, this is for the majority of people who do not have additional hardware that is required for their Internet to work.

It does the job
Perhaps the highlight of this Meraki Go Indoor WiFi Access Point is the straightforward and convenient app that manages the gateway. If you are into reinforcing your indoor wifi, create separate gateways, manage several devices, and control the network remotely then this can be one of the potential solutions that you might opt for. What adds value to this gateway is the reputation and reliability that Cisco has and had for many years. This is a basic solution for people working from home or running a small business to consolidate their network security with a layer that not only maintains and manages devices, but also ensures that access from or to malicious websites is handled efficiently.Unlike the 5 port variant which I would argue is oriented towards small businesses rather than homes, this variant is optimal for home use. It is important to note that it doesn't pack the latest tech. It is still going to be compatible with your devices, your wifi technology, your broadband, etc. However, for those tech-savvy people out there looking for maintaining speeds and technology, this gateway might not look as appealing as expected.Having said that, it is still a very reliable gateway that is easy to setup as it literally requires two cables being attached to the unit and then continuing the setup in the dedicated app which in my view was pretty smooth with setup and getting the gateway running easily.

Cloud based app for access from everywhere and stable WiFi connection.
This is a really good business grade access point. The setting up of the device is done from the Meraki Go app on your phone and it takes just few minutes to set it up.After that the device will update its firmware and when it is ready to use the LED will go green. The update of the firmware takes some time so be patient. You can change a lot of settings from the Meraki Go app.You can set access limits for each user ,you can set limits for all users and even set limits by applications. So if you don't want the users to use social media websites or play online games - you can block that. You can set landing page for the access point,so the user will go to this page when connected to the access point. The Meraki Go app is Cloud based so you can change any settings of the access point any time from everywhere. You can set to receive email and push notifications when the device is offline for more than 5 minutes. You can add more admins on the management panel ,so more than one network admins can change any settings from their phones. The only downside is that you do everything from you phone. There is an IP based web access as well ,but it is limited to changing channel and power for both 5Ghz and 2.4Ghz.You can also change settings for proxy server if you use one,you can run speed test between your device and the access point and also you can see what other SSIDs are visible from the access point and might be interfering with it.I was not able to find a way to see other SSIDs and set proxy from the mobile app.Probably they can be done only from the IP based web access panel. For the IP based web access you will need username and password. It is important to know that these are not getting set when you set up the device for first time. The default login is the Serial number of the device with blank password.I was not able to find a way to change the username and set password, but this is not really needed as once the device is installed on the wall, the serial number on the back is not visible. When setting up the access point there is a QR code on the back of the device that needs to be scanned with the Meraki Go app.It is good to get it scanned with the app before the actual installation on the wall. The installation on the wall is pretty simple as there is a metal plate that you fix on the wall and then you put the device on the plate and fix it with screw. The WiFi coverage of this access point is fairly good, but there are devices with better. The good thing is that you can connect access points in mesh network and expand the WiFi coverage. The price of £83.93 is pretty good for a business access point like this.Hopefully my review was Helpful for you.
