Love Yourself, Heal Your Life Workbook (Insight Guide)

I first read this book in 1997 and thought it absolutely brilliant and have used the philosophy throughout my life, quoting certain affirmations in times of need. I re-read it in 2023 and The Power Is Within You and again found the books totally inspirational and a must read. I have been buying them as presents for my friends and they feel the same. This book has practical advice in helping them lead happier and healthier lives. I cannot recommend this book highly enough. Positive affirmations are so powerful that I have introduced them to my podiatry patients to help speed up their healing with nail surgery and have recommended to other patients that they read the book for their illnesses.

This workbook has been such a gentle yet powerful guide on my self-love and healing journey. Louise Hay's words are full of compassion, and the exercises really made me stop, reflect, and look inward. It helped me become more aware of negative thought patterns I didn’t even realize I had. I especially love the affirmations and journaling prompts—they’re simple but so effective. It doesn’t feel overwhelming, just supportive and encouraging. Every time I sit down with this book, I feel like I’m doing something truly kind for myself. It’s not a quick fix, but it’s a meaningful step toward real emotional healing.Highly recommend it if you're ready to work on self-worth, forgiveness, or shifting your mindset in a loving way.

This is a brilliant work book which accompanies her main book. I absolutely love Louise Hay and try to follow her advice. I am still progressing through this but am finding it a very practical tool in helping me address my issues

Expertly written. Tangible and a delight to read. Easy to understand and easy to put into practise. You can dip in and out of it, in an order that suits you best. I love it! I had borrowed a copy from my therapy centre and was so impressed that I bought my own kindle version.

Highly recommended to reflect on what you are doing and what you need to change. Step by step - life changing!

Louise Hay is an author I have kept re-visiting while working to understand myself. Her underlying principle of the importance of self love (or first, not to self hate) is an important one to grasp, and this workbook gives many useful ideas that you can adapt to your own use. She chooses various topics (anger, work, forgiveness etc) and outlines possible belief structures you might hold around a topic then gives suggested affirmations that might be useful to address that issue. The book has sections in which to write but I 'm not sure people would want to commit themselves to a book - maybe better to use paper you can dispose of later! As part of a general approach to self-examination, this is another useful tool, as are many of her books.

If you want to take the teachings of You Can Heal Your Life further then this is the book for you. It guides you step by step through the exercises used by Louise Hay, talked about in You Can Heal Your Life and employed in the wonderful Heal Your Life Workshops. This way you can work at your own speed and in the comfort of your own home. If you're serious about changing your life this will give you the tools to discover and remove the things that are holding you back. The results are astonishing!

This book is indeed a very simple, yet amazingly accurate workbook. Every chapter has an introduction and then a number of questions to work with. You are encouraged to actually write down the answers or whatever the excersise is, which gives a very different perspective. It managed to take me to places I didn't expect and, quite honestly, hadn't thought I needed to go to. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is looking for an amazing tool not only to understand themselves better, but help themselves overcome grievances from the past. It does help a lot.
