Good paddle. Very effective when removing pizza from a pizza stone, also used instead of a plate for larger pizzas. Bought as a present for my pizza obsessed other half and he was very happy with it. Used amazon prime for next day delivery and it arrived way before the latest possible time (9pm) 👍🏻*Update* nearly four years later and and paddle is still in great condition, very happy!

I had this for about 2 months now and so far the board is doing well. Was a bit scared due to other reviewers but for the price i cant complain, does a great job of getting my pizza in and out of my oven. No complaints so far.A suggestion to the manufacturer though, a bit of rope to hang it from the handle would be a very cheap but such a handy addition.

Pizza Paddle / PeelThis is obviously a cheap product, so you can't expect solid wood - although it seems some of the reviewers did.I bought it after we got a wood fired pizza oven and it's fine for this, although really you need a wooden peel like this to prepare the pizza and put them in the oven and then ideally a metal peel to take them out. I just put some cornmeal on the peel which stops the pizza sticking, but I’ve read that you can use semolina as an alternative, but not flour as it burns (mad this mistake the 1st time). You can use this wooden one to take them out but you've got to be quick to avoid burning it. As we are making pizzas quite often I’ve just bought a 2nd one of these wooden peels so I can prepare 2 at a time and get a metal peel for removing them.As others have mentioned if you put it in water the wood will swell, but I wouldn’t call it splinters. After this happened I sanded it down and seasoned it with oil. This helps it withstand staining better so it doesn’t need washing that often.All in all a good product.

I use it with a sprinkle of semolina for launching pizzas into my ooni fyra and nothing else. I'd read reviews saying it can easily warp or the ply layers can come away, but I've been very careful washing/wiping it clean and drying it, so it is still in perfect condition. If you look after it, it's great value for money and will last.

As mentioned in previous reviews, this is a plywood pizza peel. This is fine as makes it very lightweight and strong for its thickness. What hasnt impressed me is the handle, its not long enough. I dont have big hands but when you hold by the handle it does not feel very comfortable with the end of the handle finishing 2/3rds of the way in my fist. If it had been and extra 2 inches longer I would have given this 5 star.

If you haven't got one of these please buy this. If nothing else it is such good fun trying to get the pizza into the oven on the stone using this.We have been on the floor in stitches when the pizza shot off and slid down the back of the over. Once you get the hang of it it is a great product and is large enough to take a 'big' pizza.

This item really disappointed. I immediately started a return when I opened it. Laminated wood or plyboard which will no doubt split when wet during washing. Very Flimsy. I stopped the return when I had to pay to return it to Europe. Ill use the board as fuel for my firepit. Come on Amazon allow local returns for these poor quality items. Tried to email Amazon about this but seems this access has stopped also.

For such a basic tool, this does a great job.I started making my own pizzas recently as it is impossible to by an even average quality one anywhere in the UK. Yes, I am a pizza snob, I admit it.Therefore, Need something to put pizza in oven and take pizza out of oven.This peel does exactly what it's meant to do. Can't ask for more.
